I was just looking round the site cos i was bored (as you do, not that h2g2 is in any way shape or form boring) and found the Guardian angel page. I read the page and i answered c to one of the questions so i clicked here. Is being a GA just a very extended ACErship, i like talking to newbies and telling them about the site (especially if they reply) is being a GA just taking someone under your "wing" and being like a real friend helping them constantly and providing support, just like ACEs SHOULD do if we ever get a reply / arent rushed off our feet . I may be intrested in becoming one if it entails (long posh word ) any of the above (boy im sounding lika a snob today).

As far as I know, because of the existence of this thread, there will be an angel creating ceremony soon. If the Arch getting the job finds you acceptable (and I don't see why not), you will be informed.

For the difference between s and ACEs, the ACEs are more concerned with helping people on the more official part of h2g2, as the peer review and creating edited entries and stuff like that.
The s help you around the virtual life community part, and like more the personal interactions.

Both are essential, and there is no reason why you can't have the best of both worlds . Both groups accepted me after all.
