ASK THE ANGELS A QUESTION
Mystrunner Posted Apr 10, 2002
This is a little akward...
I am starting another club/organisation/thing called the Knights of h2g2. Would you give me some pointers? And if you like what you see, would you be interested in a sort of Sistership-relation?
Tell me what you think! A724916

Hi Mystrunner,
I have sneaked through the castle.
As far as I know this is the first group setup as a real RPG with lots of pages.
What exactly do you want with it? A serious competitor of ACEs an GAs (serious on hootoo?hah) or just a startingpoint for all sorts of discussion threads like the pirate ship A579684?
I suggest Hootoo Castle for the moment.
And please add a large dining and feasting hall

Hootoo Castle? I like that...
Will there be knights in shining armour riding on white horses rescuing fair maidens?
If so, I might be tempted to drop by...

Not *that* kind of armour!
From what? Oh, distress, or being bored, or from RL, or from themselves...

Hootoo... it has charm...
The Knights seem to be a mix of do gooders, and idle converstaion.
That help?

Mystruner, have you read the entry this thread is hanging from?
Exceot for the greeting of newbies, I don't see much real difference between your knights and the angels. Maybe the GA's give a more feminine impression, and the knights a male.
In your setup there may be a practical problem. Angels discussions start on two entries, this one and A467570 Heaven. This makes it already difficult to find the correct one.
And you made a lot of entries to start from.
For practical purposes I suggest you combine your entries in a large one, maybe with internal links to the sections, and let the actual parts be different threads, like Pierce did on his ship.
In that way you create the basics, and the community takes care of the rest, even when you are not available for some time.
I think knights should not as such greet newbies, there is already enough confusion in that area. Leave that to ACEs and GAs, no problem joining them all.
Can you do something with this lot?

I think the greeting thing is out of our reach. this seems more like a fun place, not ment to be really serious, or hold any position.
