Thanks Smudger for letting me know that I'm not alone in doing stuff like this...and thank goodness I don't need to shave.

Hi Opticalillusion- Yea! I always check now before I use anything on the bathroom shelf? As its so easy to get it wrong, and all them cans look the same, and they all have small print that you cant see without our glasses

I only need them for reading small print just now, so I hope that will be the worst they get.

a work colleague of mine is just getting used to his bifogles (or is it bifocals?) I think he may go cross eyed.

Them helmets with the little bits of smoked glass come in handy occasionally.
I knew a lad who had a bit of slag go down his ear. He was wearing foam plugs at the time, as it was a factory, so the plug caught fire and the whole mess slid down a bit. Lucky he was sweating. When he shook his head, the slag and burning foam went flying, taking a bit of his canal with it.

Aye! TR, I've had a few bad burns as well over the years, the worst was when a bit of molten metal fell into my boot
I was about 100 feet up on a scaffold, with my legs dangling over the edge, and was gouging off a piece of unwanted metal, when a blob of it landed in my boot
(Gouging= Using a carbon rod combined with compressed air, to melt and blast away unwanted metal, the electrical power has to be at Max in order to burn the carbon rod)
