A Conversation for The h2g2 Ministry of Science and Technology, and the San Betian Embassy
The Embassy

Here is the Embassy to San Beta, a very large GalaGroup of six galaxies governed by GalaGroup Overseer Prof. Chistopher Tonks, who is of course also Minister for S & T. In addition, he is the h2g2 Ambassador to San Beta due to his incredably strong ties to the place and h2g2. Anyway, what with San Beta being the top GalaGroup in the Treaty of Multi-Political Hierarchies, h2g2 is now in a very good position to get just what it wants. So, if you want to arrange special imports of Osian Sub-Ice Cream or Canfrieda Wine, or you want to engage in other intergalactic trade, please pay a visit to this place!
NOTE: Unfortunately, due to constraints of continuity, only Pr. C. Tonks may actually go to San Beta.

Your Canfrieda Wine would be good to offer at Bar Bacchus... Herrrmmm...
We have Chocolate Milk and Cheesecake. We'll also be happy to host lectures at Polyhymnia Speech Hall, provided the subject matter is pre-approved.

So, basically, you want to exchange cheesecake for Canfrieda Wine, eh?
And I'm not too sure they have Chocolate Milk, so that'd be fine too...
Well, no one comes to h2g2 from San Beta - apart from myself of course - so you'd be hosting lectures for an invisible audience (), but thanks.

Greetings, Mr. Ambassador.
I'm here to pursue your offer for a trade agreement between San Beta producers and the 24-Seven. I believe you specifically offered access to San Betian Sea Water and Canfrieda Wine. I would be most honored to sell both those products. I might also be interested in that Osian sub-ice cream.
I can offer for export my exclusive carrot cake. http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A457139
You expressed an interest in the possible export of Slerpeez to San Beta. That might present a transport problem, unless you have the means to ship the product and ensure that it stays in it's frozen slurry form. You may prefer to import the Slerpee machine itself, but we'd have to discuss it with Affy and Garius. The technology is theirs.
So, what do you think?

An excellent offer, WM!
Incidentally, there is no currency used in general within the San Beta catchment area. Items are 'sold' on a work-done basis per person. It's a bit difficult to explain now, but the basic thing here is that they can't pay for the imports. They have some backup money in various currencies of course, but it is not used for commerce. Instead, they have to pay with their own exports, and luckily they have large surpluses.
Yes, a most interesting proposition. San Betian Seawater and Canfrieda Wine will be in plentiful supply no doubt, and the Osian Sub-Ice Cream will be easily imported using the standard dispenser crates. The h2g2 Sweet Shop run by Ming is currently the official distributor of the Sub-Ice Cream, but I'm sure she won't mind, as long as you don't go out of your way to steal her business.
Oh, by the way, there are two varieties of SB Seawater: alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
I will notify the Head of Commerce in San Beta ASAP, and have the exports arranged.
As for export from /here/, I'm sure they'd be delighted to have carrot cake! I know very few planets growing carrot-like vegies, but no one has yet thought of such a cake. That won't be a problem to export at all.
As for the Slerpeez, I can most certainly keep them in their best state during transport. I won't need CLI technology, though I do want to make sure that Slerpeez themselves are not copyrighted by them, or I won't be able to export without their permission.
I will prepare the documents for you both, WM and D.
