I was given a bottle of 'Kelpie' for Christmas. It's a Scottish beer, which includes seaweed, yes, that's right, seaweed, in the making. Apparently, this is an old tradition the makers have resurrected.
The result is a rather good, very dark, bitter/stout hibrid, with a distinct chocolatey quality.

Not sure, as it was a present. I'll see if I can find out and let you know, though.
Cheers (raises glass),
Stretchy.

Kelpie is brewed by Heather Ales and is generally available from most good off licences, your independant ones, not the high street ones.
Usually only available in bottles rather than on draught. Travels better and means they can export it. Not bottle conditioned for that reason. US importers are Legends Limited.
