Linfit Gold Medal
Captain Kebab Started conversation Jan 20, 2002
Linfit beers are brewed at the Sair Arms, in Linthwaite, Huddersfield. It's a traditional and friendly pub with open fires, low beams and a lovely friendly dog that can hear a crisp packet several miles away.
Vitally, it also boasts super range of ales, including Gold Medal, Autumn Gold, Special Bitter, Leadboiler, Old Eli and Enoch's Hammer (which is notorious at 8%). I am assured they also brew a Janet Street Porter, but it wasn't on last night.
I sampled the Gold Medal (4.2%) last night - it is a golden coloured gentle and fruity bitter with loads of body and a really smooth finish. My friends were enjoying the Autumn Gold (4.7%) - I fought the impulse as I needed to be up reasonably early, but I shall have to go back to Yorkshire soon and check it out - when I do I'll report back here.
