Emmily ~ Roses are red, Peas are green, My face is a laugh, But yours is a scream

I usually read in bed, until I can't keep my eyes open, then I know I'm tired enough to sleep, which is usually at about 2-3am smiley - smiley

speaking of about going to sleep,
I should right now... it's 1:07AM here...
and two more things...
is there a reason to the whole "midnight snack" thing that people have once in awhile? (what are some of your smiley - weirder ones you've had?), etc.
&
Which is more annoying... waking up in the middle of the night becuase you are thirsty,- or becuase you have to trudge over to the bathroom to p*ss... (my word, look at that... smiley - bleep quick, censor himself, Thorn must! smiley - yikes)?
smiley - sleepysmiley - yawn
smiley - zzz

How much sleep you need varies considerably between individuals, myself i'm happy on 5 hrs but can cope with 2. Have gained many useful hours over the years while most others are happily snoozing smiley - biggrin

When i was much younger i used to sleep for up to ten hours solid.Even when i started work i used to have a good deal of trouble just getting up in the morning for a 8 O'clock start, although it was very heavy work i could sleep for England. When i started working away
and drinking very heavy i used to be in a stupour and not a sleep at all.I was tired all the time, around this time and through the heavy drinking i seem to have somehow damaged my R.E.M.sleep and since i stopped drinking altogether i haven't slept properly for seven years. Some nights i don't sleep at all, other nights i get two or three hours. Then one weekend in three i crash out for nealy two days and begin the cycle again. The nights i can't sleep realy do get me down sometimes, although it used to be much worse.I once went eleven days and nights without any sleep at all,i got used to going six or seven nights without.I have tried everything from exercise to tablets
and nothing has worked proper up to now.Though i do find my weight training and cycle riding help the most, provided i do at least 15 to 20 miles per day.How i long for those far off days when i could sleep all night without waking up even once,i would do anything to get them days back.
