My Goblin king gives all goblins +1/+1 and Mountin walk to them. Sadly it doesnt apply to goblin king as he is a king type not a goblin type. I only have one though as he is rare

Aha...
Well, Maybe it used to be 21...
I could be a bit off on that. Sounds about right.
the number of cards you need to have a deck they kept trying to make smaller.
I think standard is 60, yes?
Or at least it was...

*Nod* That's been made shorter too now.
... I think.
Used to be could be abit longer, maybe.
Wizards of the coast has an interesting webpage. Or at least, they used to.
Don't know much about how good it is now.
Problem with the Rath cycle and Invasion was the way it seemed kind of vague and a lot of plot things were sort of unresolved.
Created an impact though, I think.

I understand that you can have certain cards that give you life.
That's how to recover it/to go over.
Fallen Empires had this thing called an Icatian Banker.
I think it counted as a merchant. The name might've been Money-changer.
Deals you three damage when you summon it.
Place three credit-counters on it.
Each turn place a credit counter.
At some point, I thionk you activate the credits by sacrificing it, and then y9ou get that many life points for each counter on it.

Reason why I gave up on TCGs was that it always costs money each time. Bit moreso than online MUDs.
MUDs have a bit more of stategy and less of buying cards involved, but the trade-off is a cost factor in/of time. Real time means that unless there is a day's delay, finding overlapping spots to play with people in different timezones with you can be a major drain/pain in the .
Let's see.
Here's a "character chart" I've got for one I play on here:
A7235507
One that's pretty nice is Silver Sword by Nerd42
He's on my friendslist.
Knows how to make and play lots of RPGs, among other things.
The h2g2 League of Superheroes is another good one. It's comicbook themed.

Rat's nest?
What's that do.
I bet its like the old "Pegasus storm" card where you can produce lots of creature tokens that have an ability, huh.?

That's a themedeck though, I'd be willing to bet.

Hmm...
That sounds fun.
Here, check this page out:
U203906
He's got links in it to lots of the different things he's made &/or built.
Some of them are a little hidden at first, but.
Or you can see mine too, but he's got more of 'em.
In a sec. or two I can show you my deviant art page.

I LIKE!! Whats your favourite magic colour?
Magic the gathering: TCG
Thorn Posted Jul 21, 2006
Hmm, When I played a lot, there were a num,ber of people who were afraid to play black. Why? Because it was supposed to be badguys/evil, etc.
Was it though? That was the interesting part. Each of the colors had its own host of associated good and bad characters with it.
The Evincar's were supposedly evil. The Lord of the Wastes ruled over them. They were his high powered cronies in the various realms... But when everybody sort of apocalyptically banded together to form odd alliances to stop the Phrexians...
Well, that's a toughie.
I'd have to day that for me it's a tie between red and green.
Red is just plain fun sometimes. Green is tricky and sometimes misunderstood.
Most people usually associate it kinda with being slow to set-up, take action, etc.
Red-Green combo. decks used to catch my fancy. Balancing was a bit tricky, but if you pulled it off right, one thing would lead to another and you'd be dealing damage left and right with creatures fighting at the same time.
I guess I sort of liked each of the colors.
Artifacts were a little ambivalent.
They're weird and , they did different things, but they were also rather easy to destroy if people knew ahead of time what they were going to be up against, so relying heavily on them was bad.
One thing I hadn't learned at that point was, do not,- tell your opponent more that you can volunteer about your deck, than they tell you about theirs. Also, the more about what you are going to do ahead of time that they can see, the easier it is for them to defeat you if they are more skilled.
At least, when it's not just for fun.
When its just for fun is different.

Thorn Posted Jul 21, 2006
, that was a typo there.
What I meant to say was,- to say.
Oops.
There are different strategies for TCGs and other kinds of RPGs.
MUDs, it is about not p*ssing off the other people and balancing how outrageous your character is or what they do, with what the DM will and will not allow,- which is... easier said than done, sometimes.
.
Do yeh now?
Storygaming and card gaming are both two (at times) very different kinds of RPGs.
Which isn't to say that there isn't some overlap, at times. Throw in the console and computer videogame RPGs and that's a whole 'nother set of things to sort out/work in. For the purpose of this bit, I am leaving that one out.
It wouldn't be fair for me to say there isn't a level of strategy at some level, that is required in each.
It's just somewhat different at times. A lot of that has to do with simplicity or complexity of the game as well.
Hope that didn't have me wind up coming out sounding quite as pedantic as it may have seemed; I'm studying to be a /.
