what is the meaning of life?
tygerlili Posted Mar 31, 2003
What is the question ? ... I mean its so bloody vague. I think if you work out what the question actually IS then you don' need the answer. SO 42 is as good as anything.. and certianly far less irritating tha "A wigwam for a goose's bridle" which my grandmother always answered with (a lovely woman but for that reason alone should roast in hell! ... weeell at least a little bit.... perhaps just threatened with a toasting fork)

If the universe is infinite, then im "a" center, 21+4^1+8+9=42 Posted Apr 1, 2003
maybe hte universe will die at 42 billion years old, its 13 billion old now, and they think it might have 22 billion left, so they might be just wrong

i have been thinking, people say that each individual person has their own meaning, but that doesnt answer the question, what is the meaning life? not, what is the meaning of my life?

I agree Miss Tyger, if we found out the answer, wouldn't the question be a bit redundant, ergo; would not life then be pointless?
All this theology has made be wobbly.
Must sleep.
Brain frozen!

Centre - read my post regarding the individual/full answer...
Ok, if you're like me u won't want to...heres a summary...
Everyone gets their answer, which is like a bit of a jigsaw. When you die, your bit is put into the puzzle, and when all the infinte number of creatures in this/all the universe(s) have died, and universe has ended, the big picture will be there.
Of course, this requires faith in an afterlife. Lets not start that debate...
Also to Whitestripe... Have to agree slightly with you, it would be pretty pointless if we found out.
Ok, gotta go, its all getting a bit like Alevel RE, and I have 5 lessons of that a week, and my brain may explode if I don't stop speculating, at least until the morning...

Wow, they scored as I typed that!

You know what, I never questioned the meaning of my life. I don't believe in an after life and since that means the about 80 years I have living on earth are all there is - I'm just damn happy to be here!
And as for the meaning of life in general - The eveloution just happened. I don't believe in some sort of plan behind that.

No, I don't meant to say that we don't have a responsibility towards the envirement. I just meant how it all began. I don't believe in God, so I don't believe that somebody or something created the universe and/or us.
And although, in the grand sheme of things, whatever stupid thing humans do is part of evolution, that shouldn't be an excuse to lay back and let the world die around us. No.

I dident say that It ment we had no resposability towards the enviroment. I personlay think that we need to take care of the enviroment as much as possible, this is possibly dur to the fact that ignroate farmers have been catagoricly destroying the land by putting cows on it. There excuse is of corse this will stop bushfires.... right and the fact the bush got there was becuase you dident want to put cows there becuase it was too bushfire prone.... Oky dokey then. These strange people think that eveything should be farmed for all its worth and that its not there fault if say the land dyes because of errosion or salitity levels... Well I am not about to let them start knocking trees down if they do intead to start killing trees I will be out there with the hippys chaining myself to one to stop them. Anyway thats my rant for today, join us next week for Darakat's rant which will be on the subject of how I will move to New Zealand if the librals get one more term, and how stupid c++ is.
