I'm gonna raise a mass theological debate here: God; fact, or fiction
uffdamaida Posted Nov 7, 2007
Okdokie...I believe in a god...what you may call him may be different(Buddha,Creator,God,ect)may be different. Obviously we all got on this earth one way or another. We believe in many things. I feel strongly pulled to symbolism such as the crow as one of my spirit guides. I'm still learning the meaning of life(not always something to get outta bed for), but I don't speak ill of others who believe different from me. Take care and Peace Out! Uffda Maida

GOD TO PEOPLE IS JUST A COMFORT BLANKET, TO FEEL BETTER ABOUT THEMSELVES. PEOPLE USE GOD TO JUSTIFY ALL THEIR ACTIONS IN LIFE, WHEN REALLY GOD IS JUST A FIGMENT OF THEIR IMAGINATION AND WAS JUST USED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND THE CHURCH TO SCAREMONGER THE POPULATION INTO THEIR WAYS TO OBTAIN MONEY, LAND AND FULL BLOWN CONTROL. TODAY WAR IS USED AS AN EXCUSE FOR THEIR ACTIONS..............

Y'know, statement like that one there from Little Miss Shouty almost make me want to spring to the defence of God! Although. apparently he is omnipotent and therefore doesn't need my help. Or deserve it, come to think of it!

Hi Albaus. Welcome to the fray!
Your post 26649 is a reply to post 20. This is what we call a "post 21 error".
As you might imagine, quite a bit has happened between posts 20 and 26649, and I won't ask you to read it all (though there's nothing stopping you, if you feel like it).

P.S. Am I the only regular left here? I seem to be the official welcomer now, having taken over that role from az, echo, and Math.
Were are ye all, peeps?

Thanks *waves back*
I think I probably did miss a million posts, I just flicked through a few, sighed, and thought I would give a stir. Really, there's nothing fruitful anyone can ever say on the subject of religion. Notice I very politely did not bore the tits off of all of you with my own religious viewpoint.
It would be fantastic if when anybody said anything about religion, ever, the stock response could become was "oh well, it takes all sorts" "let's agree to disagree" etc. That, of course, would preclude the whole point of religion, since there would be no attempt at controlling other people's opinions. Oh no, I've said too much...disappears in a puff of self-loathing...
Like I said, people can believe what they like, so long as they aren't trying to peddle it to me.
And with that, I am off to my kip. And to all a good night.

"in my previous post I was actually replying to this one."
To save confusion, it's best to actually mention the number of the post to which you are replying. It actually is fairly easy to find out which post you're replying to, but many people don't bother.
