Hmmm - is that a better connection? I'm reluctant to fly if I don't have to - not because I dislike flying, but because of the environmental impact and lack of scenery...

Euston to Holyhead direct. Holyhead to Dublin Port (probably) or Dun Laoighre (perhaps). Bus to city centre (Conolly station). Tram to Heuston station. Train to Tullamore. Not too bad.
And all available on one ticket. "Sail and Rail" it's called. Fairly good value. And you get to avoid airports, which is always a benefit, for all sorts of reasons.
