Yeah... I was gonna say it was all clear as mud...

You're dealing with someone who barely knows about baseball/softball... and you expect me to understand what in the world bails, wickets and all that stuff is? Then you throw in all this stuff about two batters - at opposite ends of the field? or what?

Opposite ends of the pitch... only one tries to hit the ball at a time though smiley - winkeye In those pics the stumps are those 3 narrow wooden things, and the bails are the things on top of them. The whole thing, collectively, is called the wicket... but the word 'wicket' has many meanings in cricket, so we'll avoid it for now smiley - winkeye
