Nah, 'salright, we haven't really got around to making up the rules yet anyway, any anomalies in ability and knowledge can be suitably taken into account

Tell you what, if the King is still in nets, how about I bowl a little and see if Lady Scott is able to visualise whats meant to happen a bit better?

*decides to bowl regardless*
*grips ball in left hand, lining fingers along seam*
*approaches from around the wicket*
*brings back arm, and swings it round in roughly circular arc, arm kept straight*
*just as ball released, tries to flick wrist sirt of over the ball, hoping to impart a degree of spin on the ball*
*ball leaves hand, arm follows through*
*ball lands 3 feet or so from crease, just outside leg stump*

What *are* you people talking about??!?!
A wicket is what we try to get the ball through when we play croquet.
A crease in what?
And I know my legs are stumpy, but why are you trying to land the ball just outside them?

But you're not going to explain to me what things like wickets and creases and stumpy legs have to do with jumping insects that chirp on warm summer nights, are you?

::: returns, carrying hand-tooled leather case, with pompoms on either end, for keeping the wickets :::
