So do I. smiley - winkeye

Are you volunteering to work on it? If you are, it could be moved to the Flea Market from which you could claim it and work on it and have your name listed as one of the researchers. smiley - smiley

The researcher who wrote it hasn't posted anything in about 2.5 years, so it's highly unlikely they're going to work on it. They haven't even customized their personal space.

Well, you could claim it from the Flea Market (if it were moved there) and then take it into the Writing-Workshop (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/Writing-Workshop ) or Collaborative Writing Workshop (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/Writing-Collaborative ). You would likely find some help in editing it there. smiley - smiley

Why hasn't this been moved to the flea market yet? I really like this entry and though I wouldn't like to pick it up myself (knowing nothing about the subject other than what is there) I think it really needs to be finished and edited!

The process doesn't work that way. If you wrote it, you are the only person who can work on it. If you didn't write it but you like it, you can rewrite it yourself.

The way to do this is to firstly find out if the Researcher who wrote it is still around by visiting their Personal Space. If you look at their details in the top right hand corner you'll see when they last posted. If they are still around and posting, leave a message in their message centre asking if they have any intention of submitting their entry for editing. If the answer is no, ask if they'd mind if you used their entry as a basis for one of your own and make sure you let them know that you'll be crediting them as a Researcher.

If the Resraecher in question hasn't posted for a few months, leave a message saying that you like their entry and you want to use it a basis for an entry to be submitted to Peer Review, and that you'll come back in two months to see if they've returned. If they don't come back, make a copy of the entry by replacing the 'A' in the url with 'test', which will produce a text box containing exactly what the other Researcher wrote.

Copy'n'paste that into a newly created entry of your own, work on it, credit the original Researcher and submit it to PR.

There's no such thing here as "It neeeds work.. let's find someone who will"

The oher way to find interest in the entry is to wander over to AskH2G2 and start a conversation like:
who likes Ann Rice Novels? Then include your request with a link to the article.

there are other forums with bookworms who might have interest in helping you get this done.

I appreciate your enthusiasm. It's nice to see work that you'd like to see more of, but heading to Peer Review is unlikely to get you the support you're looking for.

Start a bunch of conversations in areas where people interested in Ann Rice are likely to lurk. That may get you better results.

However, until them, theentry should probably remain in the Flea Market. That's simply because it's still looking for completion.

Good Luck

Friar
