I play trumpet, guitar, and piano. Well, I play trumpet very well, guitar above average, and dabble in piano when I lose interest in the other two.
Favorite genre? For trumpet, only jazz will do. I'll play just about anything on the guitar and mostly classical on piano. I have a special interest in Stever Vai and Eric Johnson due to their amazing creativity.
The only thing I want from the Musician's Guild is to associate with others who are musically inclined.

Hello jynnantonyx,
I've added you to the membership page, A438068, too. However, the associating with others thing can be rather thinly scored and slow tempo of late. So you may need to track down some people in their own lairs. It's about time I updated the data on who's been sighted on site recently or not anyway ...

It is a bit quiet 'round thee parts innit? We need some sort of virtual jam thing.

Any idea how that would work? A long time back I (SEF) tried a collaborative music project here but it didn't get anywhere. You should probably start a new thread on the main MuG page if you want to discuss the virtual jamming idea further though.

PS Of course, some conversations which could theoretically take place on MuG actually go onto Askh2g2 instead. Eg: F19585?thread=4920382

Hello, I'd like to join the musicians guild. I play the piano and the clarinet, which I like to busk on quite often (see my personal space for more about that). I like most types of music expect maybe rap and dance. I'd like to just the group just like so I can hear about what other musicians are getting up to!

Hello musicalbusker (Amy). I've just added you to the membership page (A438068). I think you'll find quite a few people play the piano and clarinet - though I don't know how many of those are currently active on the site (rather than being up to something somewhere else).
PS It's probably a good thing that you're a musical busker rather than an unmusical one, if you're going to busk at all.

Hi, I would like to join the musician's guild. I play the clarinet, the descant and tenor recorder and I am a singer. I have more experience at singing and I'm grade one standard at clarinet. Recorder I just like to randomly blow when I feel like it
We have a piano but the neighbours can hear it so I tend not to try to play it. I'm also in a band

Hey! I'm Niks. I play the piano and I sing. I have loads of fave bands, artists, etc, etc- Queen, The Clash, R.E.M- look at My Space and have a look @ more of my fave bands.
What I'd ultimately like from the Musician's Guild would be advice on music, songs, writing songs, and recording songs, etc.
Thanks!
Niks.

Hi niks. I've added you to the membership list now.
Probably the best way to get advice on one of those things is to start a thread of your own, on the main forum F52166?thread=Hi niks. I've added you to the membership list now.
Probably the best way to get advice on one of those things is to start a thread of your own, on the main forum F52166 for the guild (where subscribed members should see it), and being more specific about what you want. Otherwise you are liable to get answers which are not as relevant to you as they could be. (SEF)

Can I join please
I play guitar mainly; been playing for about 25 years and gigging for most of them. Currently playing in a rock/metal covers band.
Also play violin to a very limited level, used to play piano, and sing in the car now and again.

Begging isn't required. It's not an exclusive membership at all! I've added you to the membership page ( A438068 ) now.

I play alto saxophone, oboe, piano, guitar, and occasionally I sing. I want to learn how to play the theremin, hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, harp, banjo, and bassoon in the future.
I am very open-minded when it comes to music; I listen to all sorts of rock music, jazz, pop, folk, electronic, rap, and very vaguely defined music as well.
I would like to reach out to others who share my interest in music.
