Hi all. I'm a player of drums, guitar, and whatever else I can get my hands on. I'd love to learn more about computer programs for production, recording, etc. I was in a (short lived) band once, named Elysium. We only played one gig. In fact, we only had one song. Anyway, I love all kinds of music, but if I had to pick a favourite, it'd have to be Pixies (especially Doolittle).

Hello, Your Highness
Welcome to the Guild I'll add your name to the membership list, and there's a Guild badge at A434648 for you to add to your personal space.
How can you play a gig with only one song? Was it a short gig or a long song

Obviously, you've never been to a really hard-core jazz gig. I once witnessed a three hour blues improvisation featuring no less than twelve minutes of drum solo. Nice.

My God, yes. It's only the acoustic equivalent of Steve Vai's eight-minute guitar w**king sessions.
In fact, jazz improv is a great way to pull women. I should know...

I play the trombone and I also love to sing. My favorite performer is "Weird" Al Yankovic. I want to join so I can proudly say that I am with people who enjoy music as much as me.

Trendy upbeat really catchy name, like Clint, or Brian, no, Alfy would be good. Or John. Posted Apr 11, 2002
I play harmonica, diatonic, because I can't work out when to
press the gizmo on a chromatic, and it's so confusing to
breathe and press the button at the same time.
I've got twelve diatonic Blues harps, and a few chromatics.
I don't sing because I'm frightened of breathing-in the harmonica
when I've done the long notes. And it sounds bad when you sing through the reeds anyway.
I like Carl Orff, and Rimsky-Korsakov, and Belioz, and Tchaikovsky,
and Smetana, and Modest Mussorgsky (he's so unassertive), and Grieg and That Finnish guy who did the Swan of Tuonela, Sibelius?, and Holzst and Cesar Franck and Dvorak and playing the harmonica.
Oh and Jukka Tolonen, ex Tasavallan Presidentti.
I play Blues by people like Muddy Waters and Little Walter, and
all those other gentlemen beginning with "Blind".
I admire JJ Milteau, who plays the harmonica in such a way that
you may suspect that he's actually playing at the wrong speed.
But he's also French, so that might explain it.
I'd like the Musicians Guild to give me lots of money, and admire me.
But I know they won't do either, so I'd rather ask, like Kennedy said:
"what can I do for the Guild?".
-I can tell people about playing the harmonica.
-I can help them if they happen to be in South Africa
Oh, and I'm in a band, when I'm not travelling around the world as
a consultant.
Can I join please?
Please?
Go on, gimme a chance.
Yours sincerely
Researcher 192240.

Wow, you certainly know how to make an entrance!
Welcome to the Guild. You're right, of course, we can't offer you any money. And admiration has to be earned. What we can offer is a nice badge to put on your space (A434648)
I'll add you to the Membership list as 2240 for now - let me know if you decide to change your name to something a little more personal
Have fun!

Hiya, I'm Beth, I sing, play guitar, bass, keyboards and write [badly]. I also work as a roadie for Nine Below Zero and several southern UK blues festivals. I am an avid Status Quo fan and run a fansite for their bassist, John 'Rhino' Edwards at RhinoSite.co.uk I also love Judie Tzuke, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Pink Floyd, Queen and most other Classic Rock acts.
I wanna meet other musicians like myself, especially if they are in North Lincs, England...

Hi LadyB
That's a popular sur(nick)name... I'm Danny B. and Master B is probably lurking around somewhere
Anyway, welcome to the Guild. The badge is to be found at A434648 - wear it with pride!
And I applaud your taste in music - I noticed you'd already been to the Queen Fan Club, so I won't bother advertising it to you...

Aha! The LadyB comes from a misty past history, one of my *other* nicknames is Beth the Bitch [I can bark like a dog] but as some find the B-word offensive it became LadyB...
Also, my name is Beth and my Mummy used to call me LadyBeth when I was little [Awwwwwwwwwww! ]
Thankyou for the applause... long may we continue to Rock.

Wow...lots of conversations to post to:
Lady B. Whereabouts in N Lincs are you? (This B surname thing is getting really overboard, isn't it?)
I'm Scunthorpe born & bred. Unfortunately, I'm at Birmingham Uni at the minute, but where're you from?

Oh...fair point. I don't listen to jazz all the time, I hasten to point out - the grubby mac does go back in the cupboard occasionally

What? That's not a real degree, is it?
I'm a metallurgist by trade, which is almost as boring as it sounds.
