You spread yourself awfully thin, Dragonfly.
Some of this material would be challenging
even for engineers.

Due to poor health, I have barely been online for the last couple of weeks.
a nice side effect is that I have managed to do a lot of work on http://www.xyroth-enterprises.co.uk/ which is now being published on a rolling publication basis.
there is currently a lot of new stuff on it, and a new issue (number 36) will be declared as soon as it has stabilised.
still, the new stuff is worth looking at.

true, but it is also something you can get used to over time.
I have had the chronic fatigue now since 1992, and it is almost impossible to judge it correctly all of the time.
anyway, thanks for the
By the way, the website is now officially published, and has nearly 400 pages in it.
That works out at something like a new page every 3 or 4 days since august 2000.
not bad eh?

Chronic fatigue is something I can relate to.
I had something very much like it in the late 1980s.
It turned out to be depression, which at least
can be treated. So I guess I was lucky.
It was also a combination of burnout and a bad
reaction to a new blood pressure medication.
My former boss was on the same medication some years
later, and he simply flipped out. He would sit in his office
talking to himself. He would talk about his desire
to assault the doctor who prescribed the medication.
He would say really, really weird things to other
staff members. Finally he retired. I saw him about a
month ago, and he has finally worked these things
out of his system.
Consider yourself lucky if chronic fatigue is *all*
that you have holding you back.

oh it isn't ALL by any means.
there is depression, no balance, naff shoulder, a tendency to drop things without warning, something like reactive hypoglycemia, photosensitivity, and other problems as well.
but it is definately the chronic fatigue getting in the way at the moment.

My balance never was much good either.
Nor my shoulder.
I can always use my age as an excuse, though.

well, the xyroth enterprises website looks like it will be down for a couple of days due to changing the hosting supplier.
hopefully normal service will resume presently.

well, the website http://www.xyroth-enterprises.co.uk/ is back up, and all working properly again at the new host except for the formmail.pl perl script. it seems to be being a bit funny.
also up are http://www.pescu.net/ and http://www.real-linux.co.uk/
expect another six websites to be up in the not too distant future.
how's that for abnormal service?

well, it's taken 5 months, during which I have had to create 8 new websites, but I have finally got issue 37 of the xyroth enterprises website published.
over 50 new pages, and a lot of new structure, and rapidly approaching 500 pages, and still growing.
not bad, eh?

well, I try.
but the really silly thing is that if you ignore the images (which there are not that many of), it would still fit on a floppy disk.
now that is what you call a compact website.

OH... that's good, right!??

xyroth Posted Mar 8, 2004
yes, because it means it loads very fast.
I mentioned the loading speed in a hub thread, and one of the techies wished they could get their website to load anywhere near as fast.
By minimising the size of the page, and the number and size of the pictures, it increases the number of times they can be downloaded from the website before you hit bandwidth limits.
it also means it doesn't use much webspace on the server either.
This (combined with lots of pages well interlinked) means that last month I had over 4,000 visitors.
