A Conversation for The Party Room
Happy Vegetarian Week!!!
Cabby Posted Jul 1, 2001
Thanks!
Just been reading back through the conversation and there used to be a great veggie fast-food place in Stockholm, so they do exist!
They did stir-fry things, pizzas, samosas, salad and the like combined with wooden cutlery (which presumably was easier to recycle).
Unfortunately, last time I went back it appeared to be closed, so it might have shut down...

After all that organic cider, I knew we'd all see
That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.
There's some organic carrot just here. Someone (who will remain nameless) has run off with all the double chocolate muffins though.
Any more of that cider please Gwennie? It's certainly good stuff.

Yum. Always liked carrot
Organic cider can be dangerous stuff. If it looks cloudy then you really have to watch out.. I can remember (just about!) visiting some of the cider breweries down in Somerset a few years back. Lots of barrels lined up for samples. It could take quite a while before you decided what you actually wanted to buy!
Shame about the muffins tho..

Cheers!
Just wandered out into the garden as it seems like such a nice evening and I seem to have acquired a who's doing his best to climb all over the laptop! Just as long as it doesn't spill my !

Zarniroop (er.... I'll think of something amusing to put here soon!) Posted Jul 1, 2001
Wow!
There's still some cider left!
*helps himself*
Yum! This is even better than "addlestones cloudy cider" 5.2% and sold in two local pubs, to devestating effect.
Carrot cake too!
*helps himself again*

We always used to drink Weston's Old Rosie (I think it was, that or Old Crone's) down in Wivenhoe. Think that was something stupid like 7%! Didn't even had a nice carrot to soak it up with either!

Ah... *realises she doesn't know what she has let herself in for, and will have to go and find out in a moment*
My personal favourite is Westons Special Vintage, at a mere 8.2%! Believe me, you won't want any other cider after you've tried this one.
*trudges back through postings, then returns again*
Hmmm... tricky... which vegetarian founded the h2g2 Addiction Clinic?

Wolfman, Zaphodista :X (soon to be Zarquon again, or maybe not) Posted Jul 2, 2001
Hi Cabby! Welcome to the H2G2 Vegetarian Society! Where do you hail from (in the offline world)? Don't worry, I've still got some s left. Help yourself. Pegasus, I think you've had enough. You're starting to get pudgy around the horse wings. If you keep this up, you won't even be able to make it off the ground before long! (And for the record, I'm not to crazy about or . Next time try milk and strawberry Twizzlers.

*looks at emoticons and realizes Pegasus only offered strawberries, not milk*
Well, *frustrated* the same goes, just with out the milk bit!

Cabby Posted Jul 2, 2001
Mmm thanks, .
I'm from London originally, although I live out here in the wilds of Suffolk at the moment.

$u$ Posted Jul 2, 2001
I mean the h2g2 Addiction Clinic Ruppinger... the original haven for the terminally connected.
*looks at Wolfman, then looks at everyone else*
Whatever is he talking about? *grabs a muffin* Ha!
Besides, Ingisim said they're for everyone, so don't be so greedy. Anyway, you can talk Wolf... that ain't puppy fat you've got there you know.

*Returns with another crate of organic vegan cider and deposits it on a table*
There you go chaps (and chapesses)!
If you think Suffolk is "wild" Cabby, it's nowt compared to being marooned in the wilds of County Durham! I grew up near Uxbridge (just outside London), moved to Hampshire, lived abroad for a couple of years and now...
*Downs another cider to cheer herself up*
It could be a lot worse I suppose as bits of Durham are indeed very pretty!
Happy Vegetarian Week!!!
$u$ Posted Jul 3, 2001
Ooh... thanks Gwennie. *grabs another *
*grabs another muffin*
I thought people might be hungry still, so I've brought some more carrot too.
Share and enjoy.

*eats another and washes it down with cider*
So it was Nina and Lene, was it? And you never heard of other female german sigers? Can't believe you never heard of Katja Epstein, Hildegard Knef or Marlene Dietrich?

Ruppinger ~ zaphodista ~ former keeper of vegan affairs ~ new keeper of rainbows, until the old one shows up again Posted Jul 3, 2001
I didn't mean singers of the stoneage.
Maybe I should have mentioned 'VEGETARIAN' singers (coming to think of it, I do know more female German vegetarian singers, at least one of the Humpe sisters is one, but I didn't want to embarras Pegasus. She was the only one who participated on this party at the time )
