And of course Polidari is right.
The factors always come in pairs, except the square root.

Ho hum.
Okay give me a bit and I'll try and come up with a new question (preferably that doesn't include The Poseiden Adventure, I guess!)

How you finding the view?
(P.S. This is in response to Clelba's pronouncement and is not, I repeat, is not, my question!)

Well I have "A blind Stag"...

Ojay, so it took me a while to work out Argon's comment (I think my brain dies while I'm in the office).
I'll leave it a while then add more examples after a couple of hours...

Bagpuss Posted Mar 7, 2002
I haven't heard of any of them. Is that the answer?
I don't understand Argo0's comment either.

Fictional US Presidents?
Merkin Muffley is the name of the president in Dr.Strangelove.

The Ghost of Polidari Posted Mar 8, 2002
I thought that might be the clincher - yep they're all fictional US Presidents. The earlier ones were from the more recent films Independance Day, The American President, Deep Impact and The Contender.
Okay GreyDesk - ask away...

Oh Gosh! Umm...
Right, I'm afraid this will not be one of your elegant wordplay questions here, as I can bearly spell the words and
. So it will have to be something I know about instead, and apologies in advance if it is totally dull for you all.
Here goes.
Why do the German national football team play in Green shirts and White shorts?
...and if you're about to answer that it is in homage to the Irish national team who were the first to play them after World War 2, then you're dead wrong. That's an urban myth.

Yay Clelba!
Sounds 100% correct to me! and the answer to Clelba's question 'why can't the end of term happen sooner?' is ..uhm ..forty-two?

Bagpuss Posted Mar 8, 2002
I thought they played in white shirts and black shorts. I can't think of green symbolising Germany at any poiny (not that I'd necessarily know), so I'm going to say that they were pushed to come up with a second strip at short notice and borrowed them from some German league side.
