Hiya Luckystar!
I know. You don't think I'd be daft enough to answer the one that attracts the next question, do you?

OK, so what's the connection between tension sheets and Beethoven 5?
At least give a clue to bring this thread back to life...

Blimey! signs of life!
well, we were getting there with Thicky Holden, which was the tension sheet connection.
So...beethoven 5?
it's musical.....

OK, Curiosity is getting the better of me and if anyone else has only the vaguest recollection of Thicky Holden, this might help...

... I went to school with the guy who invented tension sheets. things certainly worked out for him all right. A millionaire at twenty-six! Fred Holden - he was in our dorm. God, he was thick. Thicky Holden, we used to call him [mimics] "Hello, Thicky! How's your acne, Thicky?". he always used to come bottom in geography. He thought a glacier was a bloke who fixed windows.
Off to see if Beethoven wrote his 5th after marrying a super model

Original question:
"What's the connection between tension sheets and Beethoven 5"
We've already correctly identified Thickie Holden as the inventor of tension sheets...now all you have to do is connect that to Beet 5.
I've said that it's musical...
...and that if you rummage around old conversations of mine you'll get a (very obvious!) clue.
Today's additional clue - MTV

Don't you think I've got better things to do than rummage around your backlogs?
*examines the validity of that question*
Actually, never mind...

Don't worry, we've all done it! Maybe you've woken this one up from its Rip Van Winkle state. Do have a read of the past few posts and see if you can answer this one

One of these days, I'm going to set a question where the answer actually is a Pharoah, just so a newbie can get it right.

appologies for my earlier error with postings. (I've taken a lunch break in between) Is the beethoven's 5th answer anything to do with the guy being on mtv with a version of said piece?

Intriguing question. If we're in crossword mode, I'd say the letter H. Alternatively, but far too obvious, the 'skins' of the timpani. I'll keep lurking until the answer is revealed.
