::smiles:: This is my entry. It's called Losing IT, Finding IMP. Personally, I think it is a resonable entry for the Guide because generally people here in h2g2 land seem to go about losing things a lot, and that is infact what this entry is about! Though its not really pertinent to anything but the state of being lost in general and replacing this general state of IT loss with IMP. Atleast I think that's what I was poking at. Please take a look if you feel like it...I'm sure you've lost IT before...Come find IMP here... smiley - smiley

I'm sorry, but what is this entry about? It doesn't contain any advice on how to find things (which is what I thought it would contain), it just seems like some poetry of some sort.

What the fsmiley - smileysmiley - smileyk is IMP?

I should say that the entry was rather nice and interesting in an delirious kind of way. So it's not all bad. smiley - smiley

::laughs:: Well...you see...the general state of delirium and incoherency is due to the fact that I lost IT. I think I'm trying to explain the general state of LOSS. As it is very hard to explain in general...hehehe sigh...I thought the form would lend itself to the general state of confusion that people/researchers/objects may go through when Losing IT. hehehe...IMP, is only a replacement word for IT...IT=IMP. (::making things up::...as it is one of my goals to either destroy or add on to the english language somehow,if only by adding inconsequential meanings to words that already exist) Generally when losing something I find people take replacements quite well...Example: Child loses kitty. Child Cries. Mother and Father buy child a new pet. Child feels better (sometimes...depends on the kid, I say) Hmm...Yes I'd better update the entry a bit i think. smiley - yawn Thank you!

Hmm...well. ::laughs maniacally:: I read it again and sheesh you are correct. Slightly embarrassing. The advice that is in the latent content of this entry is basically...If you can't find IT, either Replace IT or get over IT. I will make that more clear in the entry. smiley - smileysmiley - smileysmiley - winkeye

I think this entry could usefully focus on "Losing It", and try to ignore IMP completely - it just distracts from the jewels of wisdom that are in here...

Or am I losing it? smiley - winkeye

Yes. When I saw the title of the thread, I thought it would be about Information Technology and Data loss. Clearly not though. Certainly needed work to clear up the confusion, should go to WW if the author doen't want to make changes to it smiley - winkeye (Not that I'm a scout or anything, just a random observation smiley - winkeye)
