the lime tree café

Not far from the pond there is an old lime tree, stretching its branches wide over the soft grass. Against its huge trunk leans a wooden ladder; it creaks slightly as you climb it.
When you reach the top, you find a large wooden platform with tables and chairs of all sizes and shapes. The dark floor is polished to a deep shine by the many pairs of feet which have walked on it over the years. The walls are the fresh young leaves of the old tree itself; as they stir in the wind, you can see the blue sky, and sunbeams break through the shadows of the café. If you bend some of the younger branches, you can even see the pond.
Like a column, the trunk of the lime tree stands in the middle of the café; a bar is built around it in a semicircle. Next to the bar there is another ladder; this one leads up to a second platform, where the kitchen is. The smell of freshly baked cake floats down from the kitchen.

Sounds like the beginning of a wonderful friendship. I have a new hangout! Do I get to be the bad waiter?

chupito Posted Jun 23, 2005
yes it's gonna be a great hangout,
I guess each of us could just help him(her I think for most of us)self and possibly bring things to the others while they are still standing
unless you're pleased at beeing the bad waiter (in which case you could bring me another )

Bad waiter by name, bad waiter in action! Sorry, I can only deliver three or more drinks at a time, fewer just don't juggle well...

too bad ...
I'll get three of them then (reminds me of the famous shakespeare question : " two beer or not two beer? " which best answer is obviously three beers)
as a bad waiter of the pond's cafe, are you dressed up in a ridiculous green skirt with a ridiculous green t-shirt and a frog onh the head?

I noticed - not sturdy enough. Ahem. I'll just sit on the floor, then.
I'd like a lemon tea, please.

good question, but as all this is created by the Evolutin God anyhow and we don't pay for all the stuff we make the food of I'd say you just help me to hang the chinese laterns on the higher branches this evening... I'm too small to reach them

Dmitri Gheorgheni, Post Editor Posted Jun 23, 2005
Gladly. s are tall, and if I can't reach the branches, I can always fly up to them. Shall we catch some fireflies at dusk, to light our lanterns? We'll let them go when we're finished.

Tavaron da Quirm - Arts Editor Posted Jun 23, 2005
Oh, yes. It whould be very nice if you could help me with that. But right now the sun is still shining... you know, I have less problems with reaching the high branches when I'm a chicken, but I can't control the transformation yet.
