We all agree that (broadly) there are smiley - cat people and smiley - dog people. There are also smiley - tea people and smiley - coffee people.

My theory is that the smiley - dog people are also smiley - tea people
and the smiley - cat people are also smiley - coffee people.

Anyone who posts to contradict this theory must surely just be the exception to prove the rule smiley - ok

*goes to get big mug of smiley - tea and have a puppy cuddle the Archie the smiley - dog *

Can I be the exception that proves the rule? smiley - tea and smiley - cat everytime.

Although, that said, I USED to be a coffee person and I think the reason for the link might be this: Cats are luxurious, sophisticated and a little bit evil, coffee is the same. Tea is unadventurous, comforting and (with milk) tastes like wet dog. Dogs are the same (except without the 'with milk' bit.) The same goes for unconditional affection; good coffee is wonderful, but difficult to find - cats offer everyone their condescention (rubbish coffee) but are mainly elitist so you have to fight for real love. Good tea is harder to find than good coffee, but reasonable tea is easily accessible. Dogs will give love to EVERYONE it's just much harder to find a genuine dog.

So, I overdid it on caffine one day and if I drink too much I get sick, so I had to switch to tea to get my fix, and now I love it, but to prove that I'm a smiley - cat person, I drink it black because wet dog smells THAT bad.

I am a smiley - cat and smiley - dog and smiley - tea and smiley - coffee person. But I would always associate coffee with dogs and tea with cats, the latter being more sophisticated. Coffee is just more hyper and slightly obnoxious, and so are dogs. That's why I have four cats and just one dog, and I drink tea four times as frequently as coffee.

Currently, there's a smiley - cat asleep on my lap, or I would get up and make smiley - tea...

I like your logic there Yarreau smiley - ok

I have one smiley - cat mostly drink smiley - tea at home and smiley - coffee at work (because it's more bearable). So I guess I'm a fence sitter just like my smiley - catsmiley - biggrin

I suppose that's why I drink loose leaf smiley - tea black - but smiley - coffee is usually more sophisticated, surely? A smiley - cat wouldn't drink tea bag smiley - tea, but dogs will...

I like both cats and dogs, but if I had either as a pet it would be a cat. I drink tea more often than I drink coffee, but I'm not sure which I prefer. I love good coffee, but it's hard to get unless I make it myself.
