Kiddo: Okay, I'm going in! I think! Wait hold on.

*Runs into the forest, grabs his spear and runs back to the waterfall*

Okay. Now I'm going in!

*Dives into the pool with the spear in hand. Swims toward the big opening*

*A thought hits him, "Hey you! What if she isn't in the water!? You could drown!" But he had to at least check.*

*Tweetie's face appears like a ghost through the waterfall*
*Fortunately, the rest of her follows and she bumps into Kiddo*
*Noticing the large pointy thing heading towards her, she swings it out of his hands and spins it round*
What the heck do you think you're up to?

*Green Flash*
Everything alright? Tweetie, I heard you'd disappeared, is that true?
*Green Flash*

*Surprised to find Tweetie so quickly Kiddo must have swollowed a gallon of water.*

~Cough!~ Tweet! I uh, I was...Where were you? Are you OK? What happened?

Petunia: Geez the mosquitos are big here. And I haven't been taking my malaria pills. *swatting* Hey, Tweetie! What have you found?

*rushes up to find out what GB's been shouting about*

hey dudes, are you guys having some excitement without me?

*runs in, huffing and puffing.*

Tweet! I heard you had disappeared. Thankfully, you seem to have recovered from it.

*Late as usual, due to having small mind on other larger things, Kes rushes up, dripping wet*
Hhufff, puff. What's up?

*Not much - it seems. All is calm and quiet. With a parting snort, Kes dribbles his way back to Yapong camp*

* Tweetie shudders a little recounting what she found on the other side of the waterfall... *

* The small bench she has previously found was covered in a thick layer of blood & animal fur... *

* On the walls the symbols edged into the rock were outlined in the blood as well... *

* ...and a solitary dagger lay on the bench *

*With his usual superb timing, tact and sensitivity, Kes rushes up, waving his hunting knife and new leather sheath around*
Hey - look what I did!
Oh! Why has Tweetie fainted?

*flutter of wings
Hey, everyone!
*looks around, taking in the conserned faces, Kes waving his hunting knife, and Tweetie's crumpled form....
Oh....
*immediately jumps to the wrong conclusion
*jumps forward, with one swift swing of a graceful arm, knocks the hunting knife clean out of Kes' hand, it flies through the air and...

*it lands in the water
*gasps of astonishment all round
GB falls on her knees and gathers Tweetie up in her arms, just as Tweetie starts to come round from her faint.
Oh, Tweetie! I thought you were dead! Or, were you dead, and, being an Angel, you are having another life now?
*thinks: I must ask GOD to explain that one....

Hey - I wasn't - look what you've ...
*Stops and thinks - a new departure for Kes*
I can manage without a knife. I frightened Tweetie. It's my fault. Is she all right?

*Just after feeling pretty good - having learned how to sew, and made a sheath for his knife, Kes now feels all mixed up again. He's lost his knife, he's worried about Tweetie, and it's his fault, and he's also rather concerned about Peaceful. In the tussle between material things, morals and plain old *** , a winner emerges*
Look, I'm sorry and all that, but will she be allright? I mean, can you bring her to the camp? I mean I ought to go and check up on .. on .. someone - er - something. Can I? Please?
*A friendly nod's as good as a wink to a love-blind horse*

*Runs down to Yapong camp*

*GB & Tweetie hug each other.
I'm so pleased you're alright, Tweetie.
I really shouldn't go jumping to conclusions like that....er....where DID that knife go?
*walks over to the water's edge.
*looks into the deep water.
I can see something shining under the water! I bet it's Kes' knife! I am gonna get it back for him...by the way, Tweetie, did you hear about Zax*? She's back ....
*dives in

Petunia: Are you alright, Tweetie? What did you see in there?

Petunia: I think I'll head into the forest for a while. I haven't been in there yet.
*Walks into forest. Forest is so dense that she can barely move around. Hears mimicking bird which she mistakes for Kiddo yelling for help, and runs tripping over the undergrowth. Comes upon a very large tropical bird species not known to modern man, which bares its talons, opens its huge pointy beak, and dives for Petunia* Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! *Tries to run back way she came, but she got turned around and doesn't know the way. Turns to check the bird's progress on her and runs smack into a tree. She drops to the forest floor unconscious, to the delight of the huge bird and to an army of ants marching through the forest*

GB senses something is wrong and, as she cannot fly through the forest, sets off running as fast as she can.

*oops, some of this should have been posted under the Forest thread. Sorry, must be the malaria affecting me*

GB & Petunia wander out of the forest.
"I don't think Petunia is very well".....
