*Strides wide-awake, clean and be-clothed over to the bonfire. Puts a slice of bread onto a pointy stick and thrusts it into the embers*

Morning!
*mixes flour, water, salt and baking powder in a plastic bowl*
*forms a long thin roll of dough, winds it around a hot dog, props it all onto a sharp stick and starts toasting*

In Sweden, we call it 'pinnbröd' meaning 'stick bread' or 'bread on a stick' - it's quite popular whenever you have a campfire (especially among scouts)

If I can get a cheap flight ticket I might make it to the summer meet-up... (and remember to bring my mobile phone at home and get to the meeting point on time instead of finding everyone gone like last summer)

make sure you arrange to meet a smaller group first this time! id never have found anyone in hyde park(especially with the bon jovi thing going on) if i hadnt done that..

Ah yes - I hadn't expected a concert! There I was, wandering around trying to look for people who looked h2g2'ish - there were several groups that looked 
enough, but I didn't recognize any of the faces... and also, Hyde Park was wayyyyyy bigger than I had realized and the tube station I got off at turned out *not* to be the closest one (one of the reasons I was late)
