The Landing Bays
njan (afh) Started conversation Jun 18, 2000
The Landing bays are available for public use, although it isn't advisable to leave anything unattended for... well... it isn't advisable to leave anything unattended. Some of the characters around here are distinctly dodgy. However, separate landing bays are available which are secure... for a small fee...

*one landing bay opens, and in flies the Smallcy, personal space-craft of Pr. C. Tonks, GalaGroup Overseer to the Multi-Galactic Governmental House of San Beta, and owner of the biggest space station in the Known Universe*
*BigC, also known as Pr. C. Tonks, climbs down the ramp that unfolds*
Watch, tell the ship to enforce all access ports, and to activate the teleportation barrier.
{Affirmative}
*BigC walks off into the cantina...*

*Krans enters the control tower*
*Krans checks display*
Not very busy yet, is it?
*Krans leaves control tower, making sure that the security systems are secure*
Can't have BigC's ship being damaged, can we?

Chris Tonks Posted Jun 23, 2000
*Small probe hovers around the Smallcy, on guard duty. Checks for ay signs of activity apart from Krans'.*

*All landing bay blast doors slide rapidly shut. Lasersheet fields are energised. Extremely large turbolaser and plasma cannons slide out of the ceiling, doors and roof.*

*luckily enough, and seeing as the last post to this thread was made ages ago, the smallcy had already left with Pr. C. Tonks after he had sang the second verse of Star Wars Cantina...*

Well, obviously. You wouldn't expect me to activate maximum security while there were still personal ships in the hangar, would you?
I'm expecting a shipment of turbolaser diffusion gas - it's highly toxic, and I wouldn't want any heavy-handed pilot blasting out of here in a hurry and rupturing pressure containment vessels, do I.
Ah, here it is.
*Several large, plain tubes appear in the middle of Pad #1*

Hehe...fair enough...
*RL:*
Look, I don't really want to have to get mad about this whole incident, but if you would just wait until I write an official explanation about it, all will be well...
*...RL.*

*The drones finish moving the large canisters away from the bays. The turrets retract, the laserfields power down, and the blast doors open again*
Okay, we're open for business again!
*A very large ship covered in weaponry and with "Multiple Succession" stencilled on the side flies in.*
Bugger off!
*It flies away again*

Yes, I know. I think it's my fault. After recovering some objects from the space station BigC (and making a carbon copy of the station in one of the smaller cargo bays) it returned here (and is in orbit)it's had its mass-inhibitor turned off, so it's acting as a blackbody at the moment, eating all light, objects, and - uh - forum posts. This means that I can't get in contact with the mind, but I'm sure it'll stop acting irresponsibly soon.

*Jedi-leap action*
Just like making an entrance... where can I park my... is it quiet here or what?! I didn't know this place existed until Krans told me about it... the only parking I picked up on my scanners was this Imperial bay about a hundred standard meters from here.
The Landing Bays
Peter aka Krans Posted Oct 2, 2000
Well, yes, we try to keep it quiet. We don't really want the Imperials picking up on our weapons smuggling operations

njan (afh) Posted Oct 2, 2000
Oh, but of course.
Actually, if you're interested, the larger bay (where most people park their ships... it's through that hanger door there) is more secure. There are about 30 ships there, most of which are actually mine and Krans's. There's a more high-security one, but that one's off limits for ... well, everyone. The computer hides things in it.

Ok... will I be able to fit my new turret whilst I'm in there?
*looking forelornly*
Got any quests?
The Landing Bays
Peter aka Krans Posted Oct 3, 2000
Your new turret? Just tell one of our maintenance droids where you want it attached
You want quests? What?
The Landing Bays
Aier Posted Oct 3, 2000
No probs
Quests... well, after I deliver these documents to the Rebel alliance, I'm at a bit of a loose end and so I'll be looking for a bit of adventure and excitement. I figured you guys might have a couple of things available... ideas?
