A Conversation for Multiple Sclerosis

Scouted from the Unedited Guide:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A361757
from Natalie (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U124346 ) - missing, presumed fed
There's more stuff about MS here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A644429
from krayzee girl http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U185759, another researcher who is missing, presumed fed
I'm in no way familiar with the subject matter. Any opinions or volunteers to combine these two?

Hmmm...
Natalie's entry is a little bit more polished than krayzee girl's, but krayzee girl's has a lot more technical information which can be incorporated into Natalie's entry.
Not sure how to marry the two - perhaps a new entry, with the best of both - and authorship from all parties?
Stay ,

Natalie's entry says at the bottom that the source was the UK MS society. I went to their website, and found that many of the sentences were verbatim, and that almost every sentence in the first few paragraphs of the entry could be traced to a very similar one on the website. If you go to their website, there's a PDF booklet called "What is MS?" that appears to be the source for most of the verbatim material.
Mikey, who doesn't think that people plagiarize on purpose, but does wish people understood copyright better.

recent trials into the use of canabis as a treatment for the symptoms of ms have proved to be massively more successfull that they doctors in charge thought they were likely to be.
they had complete symptom relief in about thirty percent of cases, with some relief in the majority of others.
most of the cases where there was not very good relief was due to the sensitivity of the sufferer to the psychoactive component. expect even better results as people breed the plants to be less psychoactive, and more effective.
where you would put this in the combined or (considering the copyright problems) the new entry, I don't know, but this is much too important a result to not get a mention.
There is also good anecdotal evidence that a similar effect happens with M.E.

Well, A361757 has been removed for plagiarism. What now? Should Bossel get this thread removed and start a new thread with just the other entry?

Mikey, can you remember where that source was?
The british ORGanisation of mssociety has a strict (c) policy, whereas IFMSS has the following to say:

The source was the UK Multiple Sclerosis Society. I can email you the link, if you like.
