But how sure are we the operative is going to find the right target? What if she runs into Bastet, or... the other guy first?

*Captain Bob walks in with his head in a book*
*he looks up from his book, nods his head, then goes back to reading, sitting down near the end of the table*

From what we know Bastet is heavily guarded, if we go in guns blazing we'll risk the lives of all operatives and she'll take her revenge tenfold as for killing her cat's it's instant death, her son Nefertum is the weak link, whoever goes undercover needs to work on him and find the best way to get to Bastet, all her elite guard are women so group of men storming through the gate is going to stand out a mile.
*Shuffles through some papers*
What about Shiva does he have any weakness's, money, power, women?

*rather dispatienatly*
I'm not suggesting an 'all guns blazing' approach. However I would like to have a team in place within the city, covering the gate and the palace. As a back up to cover for any eventuality.

by the sounds of it it will be a difficult enough task to get one person in never mind a whole team,
Briefing Room
bubba-fretts Posted Nov 15, 2004
Difficult yes, but the benefits of having a team ready that could comandeer the stargate, be it for a lmited time, are huge. And posibly the difference between getting out intact or capture for your opperative.

Who did we have in there already? I mean, where did all this intel come from?
Briefing Room
Apollyon - Grammar Fascist Posted Nov 15, 2004
[Hussassan] Yes... we do have quite a bit of intel on Bastet, but little on Shiva. While it is known that Shiva is a very powerful system lord and was once the equal of Ra, he for centuries downplayed his power in order to stage a coup on the system lord council. However, the recent activites of Anubis and Ba'al have forced him to change his tactics, and he now seem to be aiming for a more straightforward military victory. As of yet, the Tok'ra high council has been unable to place any operatives on his planet.
Bastet is a different matter. We have numerous spies in her court, though they do not all know each other. Only the high council, myself and Nahaske know all the details. One of our operatives is a solar guard who watches the stargate on Bubastis from dawn to noon. We also have several in charge of slaves, two among the lunar guards, three others in the solar guards, and one among Bastet's personal bodyguard.
Shiva and Bastet are quite evenly matched, with Shiva perhaps having the upper hand. I suggest that a small group of Tok'ra and rebel Jaf'fa enter Bubastis and pretend to be there on the order of Shiva. Once inside, they will kill as many cats as they can, then try to escape. This is a suicide mission, though we had the pleasure of working with O'Neill shortly before he retired. Under his command, suicide missions became easier. Perhaps the attackers will be able to escape after all, if at least one of them remembers O'Neill's tactic style...

Hussassan said we there is a Tok'ra operative in Bastet's court, Fretts would you volunteer to go and scout out Bastet's home and come back in 24 hours, the last time we sent someone he came back 3 weeks later, exhausted and with a grin a mile wide on his face

suicide mission, it sounds like slaughter...
Briefing Room
bubba-fretts Posted Nov 15, 2004
Of course ma'am. I wouldn't mind all available intel on our informant and schematics for the area from the gate to the palace.
*stands and gathers his papers together*
Ma'am. Three weeks?

Reefgirl (Brunel Baby) Posted Nov 15, 2004
Fretts, I was joking, I do know that Bastet holds a festival once a month that make Roman Orgies look like an audiance with the Pope
Briefing Room
Reefgirl (Brunel Baby) Posted Nov 15, 2004
I'm going to have to send someone undercover into Shiva's home planet to find out what his weakness's are something we can exploit
