Well, as resident Angel of Bolshyness (according to several of my closest family members) I can't resist: so you came crawling back...
I think drinks all round are in order.
I've greeted several newbies but they all seem to disappear. Maybe it's me *sob*

Zax, just thought I'd mention, I have greeted a few newbies on their pages. I've not heard beck from any of them, but I did leave a link to the Angel's page.

Well now, see? that's great! you guys rock!

i must say, tho, that out of every 10 i greet, i MIGHT hear back from 1. but then when i go back and do a check up post, i get answers to almost all of them.

Supposedly, according to the (faintly)Shining One, that's what makes us different from the A.C.E.s..
(now don't go getting ticked off, all you ACE/angels. you all greet people incessantly.)
WE, however, go back and make sure they're still out there... especially if they didn't reply...

so keep at 'em!

OH! and if you all like the newbie enough, you can MOST definitely just adopt them.. helps if you let them know you're their angel, tho.

If you lose this & change the final closing one from to & add the command
(somewhere on the page after all the effect code) to fire up the effect javascript when the page loads, the effect should work as it did for me here http://www.h2g2.com/A314731 (in IE5.1 on Windoze anyway)

aahh, but Bruce.. you still have that infernal red dot... the cause of the heartache itself... my theory was that it's caused by the extra after the font is (in the first line) changed to red... probably the one you're talking about losing... but it's still there... hm.
