FF13 - Week Seven

And me! I should have tipped my Bradford boys to lose - they usually win when I do. But I said they'd win so they lost, and I've had an absolute mare at FF this week.

I must confess, I haven't even looked at the other football results so far this evening.
I'll leave this until the morning if that's OK with you folks...

I take it no-one saw the West Ham v Argyle score then... The Hammers were actually pretty terrible, but we were even worse. And we gave them two penalties and an own goal. The one plus point was that I'd only gone there to sit in the press box and practise my commentary (which is still pretty rubbish at the moment) but I ended up interviewing Bobby Williamson for Radio Devon, so I've been on three regional stations now

Oh, and looking at yesterday's results, four correct results with four correct scorers and a full house

There was quite a low turnout this week, which is a little disappointing. Only 16 players took part, where as the usual number is around 18+. Oh well, their loss in the long run.
After the Portugese fiasco - which to be fair wasn't really that nation's fault, it was more a case of the BBC mucking up the information - this week turned out to be a pretty solid affair for those that bothered to turn up.
For almost all there were solid sevens, eights and nines being scored. The only two blow-up performances this week were by AlexAshman and Ormondroyd who had up until this point been challenging for the lead. A score of only 2 gives them a knock back.
For all the talk of solidity in the performance, there was one outstanding play. And that was by Number Six, who has rocketed up the table with an outstanding 13 points (and that from only FOUR games )
------------
The Results:
Bradford 0-1 Luton (VINE)
Chesterfield 1-3 Sheffield Wednsesday (MacLEAN, Peacock, De Bolla)
Colchester 0-2 Bristol City (BROOKER, Lita)
Huddersfield 1-0 Blackpool (BECKETT)

Oh, and I've no idea where Number Six's self marking comes from. I see no four scorers, and no full house

I didn't realise Lita hadn't scored first
Still doesn't really make up for yesterday's drubbing though
My only hope for Tuesday night, gd, is that your lot will be knackered from your Highbury excursion and have half a mind on the replay next week.

I'm afraid not. The Highbury episode was a bit of fun for all Blades. And now we've got a replay, which is going to be another bit of fun. Nothing serious and nothing to get worked up over.
The key events are games in the league, and as I'm sure you will have noticed, we're deadly away from home

'Hello? University Counselling Service? Can I have an urgent appointment? I got even less points than Master B this week'.
'What do you mean, there are some things too shameful even for you to discuss?'

I typed in "Please help me - I've been beaten by Master B!" on Google, and clicked on the 'I'm feeling lucky' button.
The reply was 'No you b***** well aren't!'
