quick update:
I have been a little quiet on the friendface about this, but I had a gastric bypass on Wednesday of last week. Recovering at home from the surgery and I feel rotten but I am sure it will all work itself out in the end.
I guess I haven't been as public with this as I feel somewhat like a failure for "taking the easy way out" after my numerous setbacks with injury when doing traditional weight loss programs. Also I don't want my idiot oldest sister to be anywhere near me. Her drama is taxing to my sanity and she will find a way to make this all about her. While we aren't friends on the friendface, she tends to stalk me through her daughter, my mother and my other sister.

My protracted absence springs from several reasons, but one major source of stress was resolved today with the arrival of an official document from Lincoln County Magistrate Court in which Plaintiff (Landlady) dropped her case against Defendant (moi). I had to appear in court by phone. Scary.

But I had, and continue to have, a lawyer, who is acting pro bono because he hates Landlady for reasons that are in themselves a long story. You could liken their relationship to cobra and mongoose.

I have kept pretty quiet about the situation for years, but hope that, after the counter-claim hearing on 20 May, I can blog about the whole thing. From the laptop I used to call my own...
