I got a fair number of trick-or-treaters; staff members bring their children down the halls to the rooms where they know we're offering candy. I gave away almost a whole big bag. A number of staff wore elaborate costumes and participated in a competition judged by residents.
Not feeling so well this morning. Looks like a re-emergence of cellulitis.

We only had one person ring our doorbell on Friday, and that was our neighbour Sue. She'd put a sign up on her door saying 'No trick or treaters', but came by our house to gave our two a bag of sweets each. I'm not sure she's got the hang of Halloween...

Am sat at the computer with my foot in a bowl of hot water soaking off all the manky skin that has built up over the last 4 months.
Cast came off this morning and I should be back at work in a couple of weeks woo hoo!

Ugh, I know what that is like. Shedding the cast is both horrific and one of the best feelings of my life. (I might have had 4 broken arms over the years)

No sooner does Genesis MIS restore access to my website than I lose wifi. That's put me behind with NaJoPoMo.
Which is where everyone is, I suppose. My conversation list is pretty swamped.
Congratulations on losing the cast, Tod!

I was in a body cast for 8 months following surgery for scoliosis. (This was in the old days when dinosaurs still roamed the earth.). Being unable to shower and limited to sponge bathing a relatively small amount of epidermis, I resorted to puffing generous amounts of baby powder into the top of my cast and doing a little shimmy to distribute it evenly with the excess exiting out the bottom. (tmi?)
Anyway, I was complimented by the medical staff on the condition of my skin when the cast finally came off.

I ended up like that, waist to shoulders, for 3 months, after buggering up a disk in my back when I was still at school.
Says something when the one bit of kit you always take with you is an 18" ruler.
That's the only way to scratch an itch.

I've thankfully never broken a bone yet *touches wood* S has apparently broken and dislocated a finger as a child.
I had forgotten all about NaJo until AmyP posted about it on Facebook. Strange that the 2 times I haven't completed the month have both been while pregnant.

The only bones I've broken are my ribs, sort of.
I dropped a barrel of beer on them when I was younger and I think I cracked them. They now bend in a strange way, and ache like nothing else when the weather changes.

Happy birthday Lil It's a super fast permanent internet connection. There is an orange button... not quite sure what that does?

*watches as Matina glides across the room and opens the door to let the old researcher in. Chloe comes silently up, not possible to say from where, and makes what sounds as an unapologetic noise before she gently hoovers most of the cobwebs off*

I'm rather parched - may I take a chair and purchase some refreshments?

*thinks how big GLs Atelier tab would be by now .... possibly larger than the national debt of Mexico*
Maybe a small glass of water?
