If need be I think i still have the keys to the Clubhouse. We had an inexhaustible supply there.

Mol - on the new tablet Posted Nov 13, 2014
I was working in Oxford today.
On the plus side, I arrived in the same way as one of the characters in one of my favourite books, and I suddenly realised that I was working in a building she visited in the story. So that was good.
On the minus side, although I heard lots of police sirens, I didn't see Lewis or Hathaway at all

I have been baiting one of the cleaning robots with a dust-bunny I found under the sofa, but it won't come out to play. Do they need recharging?

Just been out to vote in the most important by-election for decades.
I was tempted to vote Ukip to give the Tory's a bloody nose, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. So I stuck with my principles and voted for what I believe in.

Always vote for what you believe in
I've just put the first labels on the first bottles of beer from my brewery, and am now off to another brewery to drink them with the brewer there. They're not fully conditioned yet, but he's aware of that.

What sort is it, Pastey? If you ever need an American taste tester just let me know

Pastey Posted Nov 21, 2014
Took a pale session ale, a strong (5.3) golden ale and a thyme infused session ale along.
They were all rather good
Conditioning wise, the pale will be ready next week, the stronger one the following week, and the thyme beer the week after. They're all drinkable now, but will be better then.

I've been having a lot of headaches lately. Not the kind involving students. I have also had a problem with my jaw for a couple of years. Saw a few over the last couple of weeks and I am having an MRI done on Tuesday to see if the jaw issue is what's causing the headaches. It's more of a confirmation thing but should give us a course of action to take. It's not often that I want a scan to come back positive but in this case I am praying for it.

Small puffs of dust are kicked up by the tumblweed as it rolls through the salon...

Witty Moniker Posted Nov 30, 2014
*Witty notices movement in her peripheral vision and turns to see Chloƫ place a potted orchid on a plant stand in the hall and return to the linen closet.*
*She is nearly certain the plant's tendrils are moving, perhaps growing.*
*She is too frightened to utter a sound. *

*a door blows open with a bang, dragging in along with the wind a rather dishevelled looking Pastey
"Hi."
*slumps down in a chair, waves for a G&T
I tell you something, setting up a brewery is easy enough. But getting people to stock your beer is a right chore.

Florida Sailor All is well with the world Posted Nov 30, 2014
An old mariner wanders in, awake at last after a turkey induced coma. He wipes away a few cob-webs from the over stuffed chair near the corner and settles in.
He asks to speak to Eleven. When the bot arrives he suggests that it is probably time to open the cupboard with all the Christmas cra... er stu.. er trimmings?
Requests a hot toddy with a stick of cinnamon.

I'm currently partaking of carrot and coriander soup, for breakfast.
I did aim for a cup of tea, but somehow ended up with soup.

At least you have the option of going to pubs directly. In the US the producer of beer cannot deal directly with bars and pubs, they have to go through a distributor.

Yeah, I found that very strange when I was over there, and I do wonder how much longer that'll hang around for.

Since the big megacorp breweries own the primary distributorships, it is not going anywhere. The "Three Tiered" system is firmly in the grips of the big players and their lobbyists pretty much own the legislators in this country.
It's a great racket. Control the production, control the distribution, control the retail configuration.
