What a surprise, Europe has internet connection.
The storm is still strong and I didn't sleep well because of the noises. One of the results is a hard lump in my right shoulder. At least there was no more damage to the flowers on our balcony.

And there are actually people over here knowing how tu make use of it. The internet weirdos, your Mother warned you about
Santraing from CPH, my much beloved home airport, embarking on a US trip in a small two hours time.
It was rather windy here over the weekend, and they did speak of storm with hurricane level gusts for some parts of the countries. We got off rather lightly in the Copenhagen area, though - even if I had to go around in the garden and pick up things that the wind had different ideas of the right places for...
In caninr news, we introduced my MIL's puppy to Corto and it went very fine. A toller (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever) with puppy-long legs and energy and. Flatcoat that, basically, is an ADHD dog - yep, they ran aroind a lot and played

Not only internet weirdos but axe murderers as well, if I remember Hyp's mother's fears when Hyp was planning her first visit to Europe.

That's only because we watch too much of that "television" thing, and try to copy the exemplary behaviour we see our American cousins portraying.
We've not realised yet that it's not actually real.

And Europeans only do their laundry once every five years.
There's been a lot of demonization of Europe by the right-wing media in the US, which thrives on propagation of "low-information voters". Godless socialists with no indoor plumbing. I suspect that some media outlets are circulating pictures of the former East Germany as was just after the wall came down. They are frankly disbelieving of the high-speed rail system.
Thank bob they don't know about 2legs.

I'd say 2legs is probably our secret weapon should the world as we know it suddenly start falling apart

Thanks for the loan of the snorkel, Witty.

The under-house adventure was a success - our grey water system is coming along nicely.
Using my reciprocating saw (every girl should have one) I cut the line that ran between the shower’s P-trap and the toilet’s drainpipe. Capped the line at the toilet side. Then removed the P-trap from the shower drain, exposing the shower’s 1 1/2” drainpipe. It would have been lovely if I could have saved the old P-trap but it was solidly corroded to its connecting pipes. Which I knew because I’d gone down there on a photo reconnaissance mission beforehand.
Added a coupling from the shower’s drainpipe to a 4” length of 1 1/2” pipe, then the new P-trap, then a 2” length of 1 1/2” pipe, then a tee fitting from 1 1/2” pipe to 2”, used its top end for an inline vent. Once everything fitted, I handed the assembled parts through the crawl-hole to Mr Nerd for gluing.
Mr Nerd returned the glued construct, and I connected one end to the shower and the other to a 2” pipe running through an old unused dryer vent and out to the garden.
Then took the first shower.

Awesome DIY and laudable use of gray water, HN!
After car wash and therapy, I did art today. It made me purringly happy.

Nice. And I've bookmarked your blog.
It's another car wash day at Ladera. I dreamed again, this morning, about walking, but I was back in central Florida, walking to work. I think. Whatever the destination, I had got about two miles when I realized that I had forgotten my handbag, so I had to turn back. Then, as external stimuli increased on the hall, things got narratively fragmented, but I was still walking....

How odd - I'm trying to play some youtube videos, but they won't start playing. Black screen. No error messages. Reloading does nothing. Revisiting already played ones in browsing history will work though...
