Speaking of rolling, I had to go to IKEA yesterday, to replace my worn out duvet. That place is huge, and I always end up taking longer rests than I do bouts of shopping, making it a pain to go there. Yesterday, I got a store wheelchair (they don't have automatic shopping trolleys, which I usually use), and I breezed right through. I did have someone with me, and she pushed the cart. I could probably go by myself, if I looped one of the yellow bags on the handles of the chair.
My cat is in trouble, seems she threw out my computer mouse. Really.
I figure what happened is that she knocked it into the wastebasket, which is right next to my desk, as she was jumpimg up (or down) to the window. I didn't miss it until I had already taken out the wheelie bin, and spent half an hour, out in the street, with a flashlight in my mouth, and my grabby tool, picking through the garbage. Since I wasn't about to tip the bin over at 10pm at night, I'll just have to go to the store and get another one.
I tell ya, these modern times...

I currently have one of ours on my lap, so G can play WoW without feline intervention.

Rosemary, that's very decent of you, suffering through having a furry and probably purring weight on your lap...
Z, it *is* a pain working without my mouse! I'll survive, but it's like missing a thumb or something. I am *so* spoiled! I did find out, quite by accident, that I have a scrollbar on my touchpad.

Many years ago, my w*rk PC 'forgot' it had a mouse. Since it took our IT department 2 weeks to make it 'remember' again, I went out and bought a PC magazine that had a pretty extensive list of keyboard commands, which I taped to the side of my screen.
Been a keyboarder ever since, rarely use the mouse - well, while at w*rk, at least, gaming is a bit trickier to figure out...

Mouse, how 1990s of you dahhhling! Touch is where it is all happening these days.
That said, at work we have gone through the expense of replacing all the mice that came with some computers I manage with some new third party ones. The rat tails were too short to secure properly.

Accidentally unsubbed myself when I went to leave a calling card, now I actually get to post something of interest!

I've never forgotten a Dilbert cartoon of a monkey sitting at a computer, using its tail to work the mouse. Evolution took a wrong turn.

"No wonder I'm so tired. Today I've had 3 drugs, an orgy and a referenudum and it's not even six o clock."
Reminds me of John peel commenting on swear words he'd managed to get into the broadcast: "I had five f***s and a s*** tonight."

Hmmm... interesting... Chrome says 5 hours left, Download Manager says 1 hour 40 minutes, I wonder which one is closest to the real download time? More than 5 Gb

Oh, who the heck am I kidding? I've got to write ~something~, vice leaving a calling card.
Marzipan. There. I said it again. The stuff I used to get as a kid in Deutschland was slightly gooey nougat covered in a moderate shell of dark chocolate, not milk chocolate. Glorious combination, though still "an acquired taste."
Stollen. Mmmmm... My wife, A---, manages to find one or two Stollen cakes every holiday season, usually at an Aldi in Columbia. Brings back memories of home, and she's turned it into our family's tradition, as well. Here, this link is for you: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/saras-secrets/stollen-recipe/index.html
Re: Referendums, with or without clothing. I would consider being a Moderator almost like being a Voyeur; you get to see everyone's "behind closed doors" stuff. Or, maybe it's like our Supreme Court, judging the "decency" of an issue, trying to decide if it's proper to allow it in the public venue. Doh! But of course it's like the latter...
Re: NaJoPoMo. Carp! Seize the fish...or something like that. I started out ahead of the game, now I'm behind the power curve by two days. Must get back to scribbling, like I've seen Titania doing so often here...

Off on the kayak for the weekend. This time fairly local; Dymchurch. The forecast is a bit mixed but it could be a lot worse. The target is Cod Yum.

Still confused, download manager says 'done', Chrome says '36 minutes left' - but the 5 hours that Chrome originally stated is clearly not correct *wonders what to do for the next half hour that won't steal bandwidth*
