In all these fantastic Attenborough series, it never gets easy to watch prey be caught. And sometimes there are the tragic fails, like a blinded baby elephant following his mother's tracks the wrong way, away from water and back into the desert. I want to reassure myself, "Sure, and they put out a call to the ground crew and rescued the poor thing."

Also, the empty-box icon seems to be Firefox's new "this page/site/bookmark does not have its own icon" icon. I'm used to there just being a blank-page icon instead, hence the confusion.

Been having ... um, "fun" with the programming. I spent the last couple of days looking at other options in case OpenTK turned out to have too many problems, but they all ended up being worse in one way or another.

OpenTK's audio-tutorials are complete and/or misleading; I'll probably end up following a "standard OpenAL tutorial" and desperately trying to figure out what OpenTK renamed all the functions, like I did with OpenGL. Another issue is that OpenTK isn't properly recognizing input from gamepads/joysticks, so I might need to look into that, too.

I don't have a blank box. I have the h2g2 favicon. It was there in Firefox 7, and it is still there in Firefox 8.

Oh, I just noticed: there is indeed a blank box on some pages, like the Who's online' page.

My FireFox refuses to load h2g2. I have to use Safari. Also, much to my annoyance, my kindle won't let me see h2g2 either.

Morning all.

I'm off work today with a 24 hour bug, but I had an early birthday delivered this morning to cheer me up-G has given me a wormery.

Oh ye gods, I just had such a vivid way-back-when experience that I felt like a 5-year-old sitting on the living room carpet, watching one of the very few b/w TV shows for kids with wide eyes.

It's a series on one of the state TV channels which could be translated as 'TV memories' (Minnenas television). Let's see if it's on youtube... nope, it isn't, just later versions in colour.
