In my latter teens, I was quite the 
snob - only leaf tea and when it came to black tea, I used to watch the water heating up in a good old fashioned kettle (none of those electrical thingies!) until the bubbles were 'the size of goldfish eyes' - that was when I poured the water over the tea leaves. I'm trying to remember which book I read that mentioned the size of the bubbles - maybe, possibly - uh, let me check my book cases...

One thing's for sure, I definitely got more sleep last night than the night before. My grip on my sleep-schedule still isn't all that firm, though ...

Tea, tea, and more tea for me! Dai knows not to try to have a conversation with me in the morning until I've had at least one mug, and I'll have 3 or 4 before heading out the door. At work, the staff swear I can hear the kettle boil at 50 paces. I'll drink it any which way, don't particularly care for the stray leaf that comes from loose leaf so a teabag is fine. White no sugar, ta.
Coffee? Meh, maybe once a month. Though an iced coffee during the lunchtime show at a theme park is the perfect cool-me-down and pick-me-up combined.

It's not been a good week. A friend of mine died in a road accident yesterday morning. He was 30 years old, one week younger than me.
I have a feeling I've never had before. I don't know how to describe it. "sad" doesnt cover it.

Egon, I am so very sorry. Many condolences. Part of the feeling is sheer, horrified, shock at this stage, at least, so I remember from my own experiences. So furiously surprised the Universe could actually BE like this.

I start my new job on Monday. It's doing a similar function as my job with The Borg (network edition) but for the equivalent company in the storage realm.
