Any advice? Yup, don't leave your empty instant Cappuccino wrappers on the work surface, always lower the loo seat and smile every time she walks into the same room (even if it's the bathroom) That about does it for me.

Well, the little snake didn't make it. He might have gotten a little squished, being under my desk. Poor guy...

with the girlfriend, Marv! I lived in sin with my now-hubby for five years, before we got married. I think it's a good way of vetting how much of a slob they are, and if you're willing to put up with that. Most bachelors I know dislike having a roommate, mostly because their stuff keeps getting moved around!

Still got snow

When will it end?

Just -4c this morning, so icy roads await. Down in Central Scotland they had a real time of it yesterday. No wonder Ben and Dr Z are pulling their hair out.

Snowing here again, too. Only about -1°C so temperature-wise it's not that bad. Certain areas of Denmark were under rather strong "do not drive out unless it's absolutely necessary" conditions for a day or two. One of my colleagues came back by car from Germany and drove through those - he said it was a experience indeed.

Morning, -6ºC here but colder weather predicted due to skies clearing up. Don't mind cold if it's sunny.

Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt has been described by American diplomats in the recent Wikileaks papers as 'a medium sized dog with a big dog's attitude'. When asked how he felt about that, he replied 'well, at least I'm not a poodle!'

It's rare for him to show any signs of having a sense of humour but when he does, he can be quite funny.

+3 DegC at the moment but damp. Mrs WA slipped on the icy stairs taking the to the kennel last night. No damage done, she landed on her best feature.

Normal means getting back into going out and things like that after being grounded for six weeks while my new bearing beds in. It sounds daft but I did feel a tad apprehensive flying solo yesterday. Wont take long before I'll be firng on all cylinders.

Mags, being a caregiver is terribly frustrating and exhausting. People who haven't been in that position really don't have a clue just how much time and energy, both physical and emotional, it requires.

My HTML 5 textbook arrived yesterday... along with the latest Vanity Fair featuring Johnny Depp, the latest New Yorker, and a quirky little book that I dove into first, Johnny Depp or no Johnny Depp. I saved him for later.

Which book did you get Lil? I'm having a think about getting back into the thick of HTML again.
My last tome was HTML Publishing on the Internet by Heslop and Holzgang, which covered HTML 4 and some DHTML. Need something up-to-date now.
