I thought it was me calling a lib-dem candidate a **** . You used the same word in the next post Mrs Z, so I am not sure what the problem was smiley - erm

So what's the right choice?

Cons plus Ulster unionists? Cons plus lib dems? Lab plus Lib dems? Assuming the results are roughly the exit polls?

Ach, FG, to quote DNA, I think they are all a bunch of mindless jerks who should be first against the wall come the .... etc, etc, etc.

I love the drama of it all, and the fact that things really can and do change.

My friend U's husband has not been elected as Lib Dem - they've gone with their existing Labour MP. Shame. Their existing MP is a bit of dipstick, while he is definitely not a knob.

It seems to me that tactical voting has backfired for once. If people hadn't been so intent on keeping the other guy out, there might have been a party closer to a majority.

Surely that will be the nail in the coffin for first past the post. The fact that it has't actually _worked_ this time?

I'm a huge opponent of tactical voting.

The constituency I voted in has turned blue, and Brighton's Green. Very pleased about that.

Well, with 36 seats remaining and 36 required for a Conservative FPTP, it looks like it's going o be a hung parliament. I give it six months before we have another election, given some of the hoo-ha around papers running out, closed doors etc..

I always imagine the votes being read out for DD with that as his actual name (as I don't know his read one). smiley - laugh

Thrilled about the Green in Brighton.

Not so thrilled about having one of the blue team where I voted though.
