How dredful, lml. I hope something can be done for both of them, but even so, it's a hard time ahead for your family.
The Star is still in hospital. They are waiting for the proper doctors to come back on on Monday. I am really _very_ cross with MiL and B for not managing the situation better. He only has tonsillitis. And he was eating this morning, so it can't be giving him that much gyp. On the other hand, _now_ he is miserable because he is in a strange bed, etc etc. Really very cross _indeed_.

This must be very difficult for you, Sol
I hope the wee chap soon shakes off whatever bug's caused his tonsillitis.

I hope that there will be donors too. There are 8 other nieces and nephews in the family, hopefully a couple of them will step up and offer, and be the right type and all. My heart is just breaking for my sister.

*has now a better understanding of why the unaus have stubbornly stayed inside instead of accompanying her to the store*
It's hot - even on the shady side of the street. If anyone would happen to have some surplus of rain, kindly send it this way asap - the lawns have all grown yellow.

T
The only green bits on my lawn are the weeds.
Don't worry the rain will reach the southern UK in 2 weeks when I'm off camping, so it should be over you a bit later.
Meanwhile back to the F1

Sol, i feel for you. My opinion on kids illnesses has always been, if they can eat and drink and drive you crazy, they don't need to see a doctor. They never needed antibiotics until well into their teen years, never had tubes in their ears and were always exceedingly healthy. Maybe they're just healthy kids, but i can't help comparing their level of health and attitude toward illnesses (as a 'lets wait and see') to kids who were on seemingly endless prescriptions of antibiotics and doctor's visits.

What devastating news for your family, lml. I'm sending along more good wishes for finding donors.
Don't know about other places, but here the over use of antibiotics is a serious problem. Ear infections are especially rampant here. Is that the case everywhere? When I was a kid, none of us ever had ear infections.

Hmmmm... the National Geographic's documentary is more sensational in style while the BBC ones are more factual and actually much more interesting - from a limited Scandinavian point of view. What? Well, I have to do *something* while I'm melting!

20 minutes to go We have no Spanish or Dutch Salonistas that I can think of. Not really rooting for either side, just want to see some good football and drama.
