Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.")

Morning all.

kelli - ran 2 miles a day for 2012, aiming for the same for 2013

This was posted over in Ask, it's a nice thing to have a play with - getting circles to make a lovely chiming sound: http://lab.andre-michelle.com/pulsate

The Star has tonsillitus. This is complicated by him being in Russia and under the care of my MiL who has paniced and I could do with having a quick word with Z. Unfortunately I have washed my mobile and it doesn't work. If anyone has contacts for Z or Ben could they email me? This is a bit above and beyond the call of the Atelier, but...

minichessemouse - Ahoy there me barnacle!

Zens, what are you going to Dunoon for? there's nowt there (trust me I grew up in the place and had the joy of trying to make it seem interesting for S last month)

Best time to go to Dunoon is the last weekend in August, why? Well only for the biggest highland gathering in Europe (or it was last I heard anyway)

Sol and Z are on the phone to each other now. Sorry to be so incommunicado.

We went to the Benmore Botanic Garden, Mini, and admired conifers. smiley - xmastree

Crisis averted. Z has phoned. How people manage when they don't know someone medical to show their tennis elbow to when they meet at parties I do wonder?

Mainly incommunicardo as I have washed my mobile. But then I remembered that even when B, the practical one, isn't here, it is possible to switch sim cards, so I did.

Kelli, I love the chiming circles!
For some reason it reminded me that I hadn't popped virtual bubble-wrap for years, so:

Amy Pawloski, aka 'paper lady'--'Mufflewhump'?!? click here to find out... (ACE)

If you use the "We're older and know more" argument as a standard tactic (not that it works, mind you, but...) then calling your son and daughter-in-law *both* *each* to see if certain people are coming to your granddaughter's birthday party and then trying to make excuses as to why you can't come when you're told that those people will be coming, to the best of our knowledge (they didn't end up coming, but that's beside the point) doesn't exactly show maturity, now does it?

If you have adult children (their youngest is 32) then you can be grown up enough to show up to your 7-year-old grandaughter's birthday party for 2 hours, especially since it's less than 2 blocks away!

I've just gotten a facebook message from my sister, to tell me that her son and daughter have inherited her Polycystic kidney disease, and will both need a kidney... They're 29 and 32, and the 32 yr old has three children and a husband. My nephew is unmarried, so my sister will need to help him out, with whatever he needs. i feel horrible for them, and for my sister, who doesn't need this kind of worry.smiley - sadface

Titania (gone for lunch)

Watching Nation Geographic's 'Incredible Human Machine'.

'No two of us are exactly the same.'

Not so sure about that considering both I and my mother have Doppelgangers. I've seen hers from a distance and was convinced it was my mother.

And even when talking to me within arm's reach, a woman thought I was somebody else who she had studied medicine together with. OK, maybe we're different on the inside somehow, but obviously not on the outside.

Funny thing is my Doppelganger shares the same RL first name with me - now, that was spooky smiley - ghost
