Mol - on the new tablet Posted Jul 19, 2005
Sorry, Eats.
We had a "You have won ..." phone call the other day (very unusual). SIC took the call and was terribly excited and immediately pressed NINE now ... DH and I had visions of £100/minute return calls to India, especially as our Fraud department at work has warned us about this kind of thing, but after some investigation it seems that part of the fraud warning was in fact a hoax, and pressing NINE now didn't cost us anything. Phew.

*Sips the Irish coffee and looks a bit sheepish.*
My plan almost worked... but at least I've got this nifty mug!

I will never forget Heath for promising to cut food prices at a stroke. And yet it wasn't really his fault. OPEC began acting up, El Niño was first discovered off the coast of Chile, and unification was just getting underway in Europe...
Hedlites is still missing and we fear the worst. Because of the fierce heat and the dry spell, the coyotes have been crossing the Bonito and coming right up behind the house, and Hedlites had no fear of dogs cos he was raised with them. He usually spends most of the day in the alleyway just outside the cat door, either under the plastic stoop or draped in a collapsible chair. He's very laid back and friendly.
We also have cat-killer dogs in two adjacent neighbors' yards.

That doesn't sound too promising, Lil. Here's hoping she stuck up a tree somewhere. In a good way, of course.

Dang! *Congratulations, Mr. D. she says through clenched teeth.*
Good scribing, Marv. I will be sorry to see our recaps go but understand the situation.
*wonders where on earth to find formal attire in WC*

Thanks to a bit of asian blood, Hedlites is a very vocal and loud cat. If he were stuck on a roof or in a tree or up in the attic, we'd have heard about it. But if he became coyote food, he wouldn't have had time to make a peep.

[Ag - distracted utterly by washing up - good scribing. Very appropriately thorough for a last scribe]

I've been thinking about it, and you know, if someone ~volunteers~ to scribe, then they should certainly be encouraged and suitably rewarded. Bt let's stop making it a requirement, and if no-one scribes then we just do without a recap.
And I can continue to arbitrarily bestow awards.

*also hoping that Hedlites makes a quick reappearance
No word yet from No2 Daughter. *frets*. She's usually very good about touching base. I think I might phone the last person she stayed with in SA and see if she's heard anything.
