Marv. I'm so sorry. My thoughts are with you and your family. I'll light a candle as soon as I get home.

Kerr, "SpaceCadette, when you say you can't told a book for long, do you mean physically hold it up to read? In that case, instead of speeding up your reading, why not invest in an old fashioned reading stand, then you can read for as long as you like."
It's not quite that simple, as I also have trouble with reading fine print. I wanted to get an eReader, as you can adjust the size of the font of the text. I do have a book stand, and I'm afraid it reminds me of all the texts I *had* to read, using it in college!

I think I might be about to sign up for a shrinking class.
It's taken me 7 or 8 months this year to lose a stone and a half (20 lbs). I've not been dieting, just eating less (http://www.eatingless.com), so it's super-sustainable and I feel fitter and leaner and I am wearing trousers that haven't been out of the closet since waists were at waist level but ... I'm still elephantine and at this rate will be for another couple of years.
Since I've proved to myself that I can step away from picking and over-eating and even stop after 2 biscuits, I'm not too frightened of balloning when the shrinking classes end.
I think as well as frustration at the slow rate of shrinkage, I'm nervous about applying for jobs: I'd rather be the old applicant than the fat old applicant.
So, off to shrinking class this morning to see what I think.
No for 4 or 5 months!

Well, I drink my tea very milky, Teuchter, and milk is verboten. I'll have to drink green tea or jasmine, I think.
I'm a hive of feverish activity at the moment: I've an application form for a job which is geographically between me and Dr Zen, I've popped into the Estate Agents to ask about having the house valued and I've gone to the Shrinking Lady to get a form for my doctor to complete.
It's strange how the difficulty of tasks bears no relationship to their arduousness.
