Hello stunningfrenchie.
Hey, loftyskywalker, what was the drumroll and all that white space about?
>>yeah, the new Excel for Macs is perhaps the worst thing I've ever used.
Is it Office 2007? It seems to be Word and Excel for people who don't actually *use* word and Excel, with all the really useful stuff hidden away where it won't scare the kiddies.
>> not have to deal with crazy people who claim the government has had GPS's implanted behind their eyes,
Maybe the US government doesn't do that, but here in the UK....
There's a faint possibility that the people who heard radio in their head weren't kidding. The plot of one of the Modesty Blaise books hinged on a young woman who hear voices in her head - but they really were radioed there and she picked them up because she had bi-metallic fillings in her teeth and the sound was amplified through her jaw and skull. Dunno if that ever actually happened or if it was just a neat plot device.
The Kew meet was fabulous, and there was one moment when I was aware that the Salon had actually translocated to the White Pavillions and was lolling around on the grass outside. I am sure you could hear the laughter from me and Z, Ag and S, Sol and the Star, Kelli, J, t'Boy and t'Other from the other side of the internet.
I've had to tell Z that I have fallen in love with a younger man. The Star won my heart completly by gasing lovingly in to my eyes, smiling an enchanting smile and trying to bite my chin. He then decided I made a nice soft climbing frame. I didn't have the chance to get as up close and personal with t'boy and t'other but they are both really boysy boys and great fun.
Long trip up, but we deposited Mini Cheese Mouse safely on the train at York, and now after all that my slightly so I'm off to bed.
Lovely to see everyone - scary that it's been art of my life for nearly a decade.

Was lovely indeed - nice to be climbed on by the Star and it was cute to see t'Boy run away, checking for every three meters if we were still there
>and she picked them up because she had bi-metallic fillings in her teeth
Mythbusters thoroughly bashed that one recently on Danish TV (which means some time ago in the US, I guess)

Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.") Posted May 10, 2009
There is no incapacitation and no hang over. I learned a long time ago to take excedrin and ibuprofin before going to bed after a night of drinking.

I hadd a hangover that lasted about ten minutes this morning. Not bad for getting home after 5 am...
I am considering adding colour streaks to my hair. Do any of you lovely people have suggestions as to what colour I should use?

G7, got no idea...um, maybe a dark purple? Or sky blue?
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms on the US side of the pond. My daughter sent me one of those talking cards -- she is obsessed with the green & pink creatures from Hallmark -- Hoops & Yoyo?! -- very cute. I hope she made my mom breakfast in bed!

kelli - ran 2 miles a day for 2012, aiming for the same for 2013 Posted May 10, 2009
Hello all, my internet is being extremely flaky so sorry if I disappear...
Loved the meet, but was confused that Bald Bloke had far more hair than I was expecting given his name t'Boy and t'Other both spent the day at Kew coming down with colds so were grumpy and whiny and tired - should have known something was up when t'Boy slept in until 7am on Saturday. Such a shame as t'Boy is usually a bundle of energy and mischief and cuddles, and we had to leave the group early due to having to walk them round a bit. Pests, the pair of them.
Hello stunningfrenchie, and hope you are recovering from the stag do GDZ!

Great photos Santra, although I'm distressed to notice that Hyp appears to have had fish and chips for dinner rather than a great lump of cow. I tried to think of a way I could bring some chunks of large dead animal with us but didn't manage it...

Hyp is upstairs packing. I'll be taking her to the airport tomorrow
We've had a lot of fun over the last couple of weeks and I'll miss her company.

Kelli
My name goes back a long time (in internet time), I was tagged with it a long time ago as I was the first of my group of friends to start seriously losing hair.
However my bald patch (s) seem to have stopped and some of those who "named" me now have far less than I do.
It was a real pleasure to see everyone yesterday, probably the best meet in some years.

Hello stunningfrenchie!
Great photos, Santra, but I wish there was more explanation as to who was who. Hyp I recognized. Ag, maybe. The mommies? I have an idea. No clue about the rest.

Hi, stunningfrenchie!
Darn, MR beat me to saying "Happy Mother's Day"
I'm currently wearing a stunning, colorful, plastic-beads-on-pipecleaner bracelet. *models* Tom's at the store while I pump--we're going on a picnic on the river with his parents. It's overcast and a tiny bit foggy here, so it should be gorgeous inland. Water'll be mostly snowmelt, though, and too high, so no swimming (I got swept away over a decade ago at a spot that's a perfect swimming spot for tiny kids later in the season, on Memorial Day).

Yeah, I would've liked labels too, though deduction and photos seen previously gave me about 90%... Who was the lady with the longish curly dark hair and the headscarf? Not a bad picture of 2legs.

I'm currently about to take up podcasting - now I have Questions..

Is it possible to both small and fat? I mean, the two are fairly mutually exclusive. Anyway, you're not small or fat. You're a rugby player that shrunk in the wash.

I made it safely back to Dundee eventually. It was brilliant to meet everybody. 12 hours is a long time to travel though, so i am heading to bed soonish.
