I vote for both categorizations. It's so easy to post a link to a recipe in more than one category, there's no reason we can't have both schemes going simultaneously.
Would the recipies be posted directly to those threads, or would it be more like peer review where you just post the title and A-number for the recipe in the appropriate category thread? I'd tend towards the latter, because then each recipe could have it's own thread for discussing variations, successful or failed attempts, etc.

Thank you Lentilla.
MR, when I suggested the possibility of doing it offsite I was thinking of using Dreamweaver to create it. My webmaster has done a powder again and I really need t learn how to design and maintain the library's webpage. I have 350 mgs of space and am using about 20. I thought I could practice by doing the cookbook. And not have an actual link to it from the library's home page, so you'd have to have the actual link to find it. That way it wouldn't be obvious that I was hosting it. Then once I got the bugs out, I was going to buy the space and just transfer it.
The thing about doing it in html is that each entry could be edited. And things could be inserted whereever we want. Posts here are pretty much carved in stone.
But...it would have to wait until I have more time. And no one wants to wait. So we'll just carry on.

Okay, the sweet potato oatmeal cookies were a resounding success! Moist, dense, chewy and loaded with oaty goodness. Stop by my space if you would like the recipe.

When the time comes, can I contribute my Hollyvista Turkey Curry Salad(named after the street I was house sitting on when I came up with it) and my Laguna Beach Chicken Rice soup?

*Ben wanders in, looks around and runs a finger across the top of the cooker*
*She frowns very slightly as she looks at the finger*
*She goes over to where the recipes are piled on the table and leafs through them, smiling, then she goes over to the cupboards and opens them one at a time, looking for ingredients*
*One of the bots, alerted by the lights and noise, comes in and starts cleaning*
*Ben whistles as she starts cooking MR's killer brownies: F38024?thread=6055069&show=20&skip=1180#p72383829 *

*As she takes them out of the oven, the warm aroma of chocolate deliciousness wafts around the place*
*Lil's recipe for Extremely Famous potato soup floats down from elsewhere, floating to and fro in a series of gentle parabolas, and lands neatly on top of the others*

Uhm, those brownies smell wonderful! BTW, what happened to the Church of the True Brownie?

Aren't the acolites still on the search for the Holy Brownie. Thinking of which shouldn't I as their scribe be there.

I gave up on that years ago. Too much work pushing the story along.

Has anybody got any good ideas on how to cook a trout ? I tried one fillet on Monday just wrapped in foil and baked in the oven with some lime juice and corriander . But it was a bit tasteless to be honest , although that may be a reflection on the trout rather than the method of cookery .
