Mmmm, there is leftover cheesecake in our fridge since we had guests last night. Also some rather good smoked mackerel and horseradish pate...

This guy is clearly nuts. He was wanted for identity theft. Now they're going to charge him with attempted murder at least. That's assuming the cops don't just gun him down, since he's already proved he's willing to shoot at police officers. Lil, I'd continue to be careful today. There's no guarantee he didn't find some place to keep his murderous rear end warm last night.

Goodness, Lil. That's exciting in a bad way. Hope you and the neighbours keep safe.
I have got a bit of appetite back now, but really gutted that it disappeared on the very night that we went to the delicious Moroccan place. They do lamb so very much better than I've ever had elsewhere.

If would be an extremely strange story if the perp somehow wound up here at the old Courthouse Museum, wouldn't it! I didn't start a fire in the wood stove this morning, and now I regret it. It's a dreary day.
*looks around for some kindling*

Take care Lil!
Back from the US of A. Got a quick tour of MSU - apparently the biggest living-on-campus college in the US? 20-some thousand living there, 45ish enrolled. And me who thought that the, hmmm, 5-6-7000 at the Tech University of Denmark (the vast minority (!) of those living there) made it a rather big place...
Had some good meetings, managed to make my boss happy about the progress we did, got the next meeting planned for Scotland in June & generally had an OK time of it. Oh, and ended up on the last night having a few pints of Smithwick's

Forgot to say: B passed his citizenship test (only quesiton he got wrong was about maternity leave/ rights - he is so in trouble about that as it proves he has not been sufficiently paying attention to my maternity related burblings) and now we have the privalege of paying out 700 pounds to naturalise him. 700 pounds. Good grief.
Glad you are safe Lil.

Irv, it's got to be either Michigan or Minnesota -- Missouri is small, as is Montana...

Ladies and gentlemen, name that M!
Lil, keep a large piece of kindling handy to whack the perp over the head with, should he come into the courthouse. Or you could use it to stun the next tourist who asks you a stupid question.

First read that as 'neutralise him'. must be tired... but can't go to bed as I'm trying to force my sleep pattern into 'late mode' as I'm working 4pm to midnight next week.

Still safe at home.
I like the euphemism inherent in "naturalizing"... No aspersion intended to be cast on Sol's B.

Good to hear, Lil. I was just thinking of you, explaining to a friend about the manhunt. Stay safe tonight.

Spring has sprung - if not weatherwise, then soundwise. (They predict snow in Denmark during easter )
I'm sitting here at 05.30 to catch up on a deadline - as I have been on many Monday mornings. But it is the first morning this year I'm cheered up by birds singing.
It still looks pitch dark outside, but dawn must be round the corner.

So far it is a nice day as has been mentioned. It almost makes me want to be out in the garden again, doing stuff apart from the forecast frosts later on.
Well done to Sol's B for passing the test. Poor show on the government to take a load of money once you've passed. Then again they do say the cost of a passport will have to rise to pay for the identity card stuff.
Stay safe Lil.
