*looks out beachward window at the crowds thronging the boardwalk and shakes her head in wonder*
Ampton, if you don't mind, go out for the doughnuts by yourself, then take Springie out to the woods. It is WAY too crowded out there.
Sorry to be constantly leaping, everybody, but I want to be able to download at least my own conversation, if nothing else!

Hello again Lil.
I wonder what the advertising thing was that DNA went doing this time...
Riding ability: None that I know of to do with horses IRL, Here I can do anything (well almost and I kinda hoped Ferrari would help out as well!)
How's the HTML coming along?

Thanks, Lil. I tried loading your old thread three times last night, and it crashed my web browser three times Now we're working just fine.
On the subject of Mad Gerald, upon examining his style of posting, his tendency towards long drawn out posts, and the fact that his name used to be "Mad Gerald (Absolutely NOT the alter ego of GOD -- Almighty)", I think one can deduce that he is, in fact, the alter ego of GOD -- Almighty. So if you have a problem with him, you're going to have to take it up with God.

Guerilla threads, the only solution to h2g2 congestion. So can we expect yet another hardware upgrade hereabouts, do you think?
Irv, what background colour do you propose to have for your site?
As for Mad Gerald, I can ignore him, but as I said, I hate to see it impact the kids.

I think they'll be wondering what to do about it. I think it might be yet more hardware, but preferably a rethink in how it all hangs together and how their code interacts with the backend DB.

I thought Mad Gerald was just being boring. He's streaking and pretending to be bonkers or something...I didn't even bother finishing reading it, I just thought to myself...
H2G2 is a right place for people to pretend to be social misfits and half-insane. It gets real dull and repetitive after a while, I think Gerald was the last straw for me...
The Slayer mailing list is getting really interesting at the moment...you lot prolly ain't interested. But, just imagine what a bunch of American metalheads start saying over what they should do to Cubans...and then the Brits get involved! LOL

Just a quick note before I head for the doctor and get my back sorted out...
I approve of the idea of metalheads converging on Miami and doing something about the Cubans there, although it probably wouldn't be constructive.
Exams go well, keed?
See y'all later -- OJ, pies, doughnuts, punch, everything's in the kitchen. When Ampton brings Mindspring back, let the sloth out so he can sleep on the rug. Thanks!

Oh yeah, exams.
Internal school exam for maths (not SATS): that sucked . I did bad.
IT and Geography exams, I think I did well on
Tommorow is Science SATS.

Bon Chance, Mike.
Lil, right now my site looks like this:
http://www.geocities.com/irv_wash/Roadtrip.html
But I could always change the background color, remove my silly attempts at graphics (that's supposed to be my '91 Nissan Pathfinder) etc. when I see what you've done.
I'm flexible

I can go with that colour if you'll tell me what its hex number is. And my banner needn't interfere with your Nissans
Oh well, MikA, there always has to be one exam that tubes a bit.
And now I got to figure out how to get the laptop into the easy chair with me. After giving blood first thing tomorrow, I'm on muscle relaxants and rest. Dr. Fossi dope-slapped me for trying to do too much after a serious illness, after he finished screaming at the sight of my badart tee shirt. I have the shirt with "Handsome Bill" on it, and my doctor, an old-fashioned Venezuelan from the Andes, just couldn't get over it. Dress defensively, I say.

*as the power comes back on, the refrigerator and air conditioner thrum to life, startling Lil and Mindspring, who were both dozing*
Whoa! So things are back up, and the little message about PerlEx is gone, too. Interesting. That sure cleared the crowd, though. It's dead quiet out there now. I guess I'll go down to the cafe and see who's about. Ampton, you have the con.
*Mindspring meeps drowsily and settles back into the hearth rug*

We must be off the backup server. Last night's load of folk trying to post in forums must be asleep now (yes, it's morning, the only time of day when h2g2 runs fast).

Yes, it's nearing midnight. Actually Mike it was running pretty smooth about three hours ago, when none of the Brits were online. So it's not the *only* time of day H2G2 runs fast...

Great place, now that I could finally get here to see it...
Very relaxing atmosphere. I think I'm just gonna sit for a while.

Ah freedom of speech!
I couldn't even get logged on 9 hours ago.
Good luck in the Science SAT Mike,
Hello Freedom, do indeed make yourself comfortable.
There is plenty of stuff in the kitchen if you feel peckish or thirsty.

Freedom Posted May 11, 2000
I'm very comfortable, thank you!
Got myself a cold drink, and a nice chair
I've also got myself a new graphics card that isn't doing very well... I can't see the reply buttons or the smileys, except occasionally
