Here at Lil's, but I'm about to leave you all to yourselves.
Till the next time.

The H2G2 Laws of Continuity do not prevent a researcher from being in two places at once. I am currently in three, plus a few fora with no particular environmental demands.

Unbelievably, that thread "Where Are Our Researchers From?" has been resurrected, probably by some gormless newbie. I would be willing to blame that thread alone for everything that's gone wrong with h2g2 this week.
*Ampton puts Mindspring in its cage for the night, as Lil cleans up the salon and takes dirty cups and all to the kitchen*
Gnight y'all. Painkiller drugs have made me drowsy.

Oddly enough, I'm studying drugs while preparing for a Psych exam. Turns out that Tranquilizers are in fact addictive! Who would have thought that Valium was addictive???

Oh dear, I never would have thought!
Well, it's morning for me - I guess I'll start the day with coffee on this comfy pillow.

Babel17 Posted May 12, 2000
Here too, and coffee sounds good to me.
*nips up and pops kettle on. munches on 'Pain-au-chocolate' from a platefull that was bought for just this sort of situation*
Wonder how Lil is getting on with the HTML and how MikeA is doing in his exams today.

Chocolate, mmmm, nice.
It's a nice day here, is it where you are too?
Must be english, can't think of anything to say so starts talking about the weather
No doubt Lil and Mike will let us know what's happening.
Me I'm just pleased because my week on call is coming to an end and I'll be out at a gig tonight and then the meet (will post details, don't worry) tommorow!

Babel17 Posted May 12, 2000
Phil, weather isn't too bad. sun has just come out.
As for the meet, you are lucky. I am in Scotland, but can't afford the time to come down to London this weekend!
*slips into slight depression*
*plumps up bean bag*
And knowing my luck I won't get logged on much this weekend either!
Still Nightshift next week, so plenty of time to ctch up!

Freedom Posted May 12, 2000
It's a lovely day here as well, a little chilly is all.
The meet, yes...I wish I could have gone, but it's a bit far for me I'm afraid. At least for a day trip.
Say, can I have some of that chocolate stuff?
5th Conversation at Lil's
Babel17 Posted May 12, 2000
Sure, Freedom. *passes over croissant with chocolate centre*
Look, guys, I need to pop out for a bit. Things to do in RL.
Be Excellent To One Another, and I'll catch up with you later.
Ciao, for now!
*takes service lift down*

As I have the unfortunate privalige of living in London, I will be going to the meet.
There are going to be some people with digital cameras so no doubt pictures will pop up somewhere showing what went on.

Excellent would also be the word I'd choose to describe these chocolate croissants, yum!
As for this weekend, I'm trying to decide wether to rent a movie, go see a movie or just watch the Eurovision Song Contest along with the rest of the Swedes.

*has quietly entered via service lift and is stocking fridge with fresh groceries and greens for Mindspring when she hears Freedom*
The Eurovision Song Contest!! It's still going? Is it still full of bouncy sunshine ditties?
The pain killers are actually muscle relaxants, but for a condition caused by a back muscle spasm, I am happy to wait for it to do its thing. It won't really erase the kink till later today, cos it takes about 3 doses to get going, but at least I slept well.
Fresh tea anyone? *puts kettle on*

Freedom Posted May 12, 2000
Tea sounds good, and very appropriate since it's afternoon for me at the moment
I'm sorry about to hear about your back. Is there a way to get rid of it permanently or are you going to have to live with the relaxants?
Yeah, the ESC...everyone seems to love to hate it . It's not all that bouncy anymore though. The cool thing is that you actually get to hear estonian and israeli bands and such, instead of just the regular brits, americans and occasional swedes. I might g oout to see a movie instead and leave the VCR to tape it, that way when I watch it I can fast forward through the embarrasing parts and pause to get a good look at the really outrageous outfits

*hands frsh cup of tea and plate of Moebius doughnuts to Freedom*
I am 51 years old, and only just beginning to pay the price for two athletic careers. No, I won't need relaxants forever, but I need to exercise a bit of self-discipline and not make unreasonable demands on a body whose warranty has started to run out. I have plenty of normal behaviour time left
An old friend just visited this morning. She used to lift weights, and had quite a physique for a woman 5 foot one inch tall! But now she's starting to feel the consequences too.
I'm Ok, really, nothing serious. *bounces up and down on her spring* But one little back muscle can ruin one's afternoon.

Well just take it easy and wait for it to get better before you start doing too much. Bad back, pneumonia, your body has been taking a bit of a batering recently hasn't it!

Now that I think of it, you're right, she's been in "a world of hurt" as my father would say.

I posted a link there. Two newbies leapt straight in with "I live here", so I gave them a pointer to the right place. But I bet they'll never come back to h2g2.
Exams were fine. Should get decent marks (50-60%) in history and german, same for RE, music is gonna be total shitzen! But I sure won't have the worst mark in the class
