I'd rather get things pierced, myself. Used to have my nose pirced, but now I think I'd like my lip or tongue done, despite the probability of then lisping for the rest of my life. Doubt I'll do it though. You go Hyp. Your design sounds fab.
We went to Hastings in the end. As in 1966. Although it's mainly interesting for having a fishing fleet. Although that was irritating as I had to watch B and his Mum eating things like cockles and Welks and getting excited about smoked fish without being able to participate.
Thing is, my bit of news is that I'm pregnant. Due the end of June, so we're about 22 weeks now. It's a boy.

And a couple of other things "Hastings that is" A couple of hootoo-ers hail from the area, a certain Mr L Baird perfected his picture box here,
was ceded to the United States for a while, and boasts "Britain's first underground car park" no less

Ti, that's exactly what I feel. I've been thoroughly cheated for a full season! (OK, we did get two days of snow and I choose to spend them getting sunburnt in Mexico City - but that's another story.)

Yeah, I know I should read to the end before I post... Congrats, Sol (even if I already did post that on your other blog )

Best thing I've heard all day, Sol
ps - don't get your tongue pierced. Please. It's really dangerous.
I know I've put on a bit of weight, FG - but I still don't think Ive got room anywhere for that toad
I was thinking more of this sorta thing ... http://www.freetribaltattoo.com/free-tribal-tattoo-designs/tribal-frog-tattoo-designs/tribal-frog-tattoo-design-04.html
I heard that story about the Peen Jay too, WA.

*Gives Sol a gigantic hug and a very large bunch of daffodils - do you even like daffodils? - ah well* So very happy for you! Also, you had better tell me WHAT you want knitted for young master whatsit because I will knit madly on regardless and you may as well harness the force to your advantage.
I am vey much looking forward to seeing the tattoo, Hyp, and indeed the rest of you.
I'd always vaguely fancied a tat myself, but am absolutely convinced that once I get one done I should change my mind on the instant and decide I loathe it because I am contrary like that. I have had henna 'tattoos' on my hands and ankles - they were fun. And rather beautiful.
Having beaten my essay into submission with my old university-colours golfing umbrella, I find to my horror two new pieces of coursework mysteriously afloat in the aether. Darn it to heck, but I am SICK of writing about management and legal issues and guidelines and policy statements. SICK SICK SICK.

Congratumilations, Sol!
Shame we don't have a smiley.

Ooooh, congratulations, Sol!
Hyp, your tat sounds very lovely, can't wait to see it!
Teuchter, that tribal frog is rather kewl too.
I've one very hidden tatto and am seriously thinking of a second (now that I'm a biker, gotta join the ranks, y'know)
But although I'd dearly love an armband, it would really restrict what I wear at work. Ankle band, maybe.
Had dinner with my estranged son about a month ago, where he said "Do you want to see my new piercing?"
Oh dear I thought, where could it possibly be that he can show me in public?
So he stuck out his tongue

Not sure whether I've already posted this but this is the first tattoo I plan on getting: http://www.shillpages.com/dw/other20.jpg the Prydonian Seal (or Seal of Rassilon, depending on who you ask) from Doctor Who.
Just remembered Lil's recent discovery of Top Gear... have you seen the one where they drive across the US?
