I'm not sure about the final design. We're working on it. Not a wreath, though. I know the sage is going to be in bloom and be the central piece. Then flat Italian parsley on either side to look sort of like a swag. With th erosemary and thyme worked in there somehow.
It's just that I've been sort of down for several weeks and I'm hoping this will perk me up. When it's done I'll e-mil a piccy to those interested. Most of you have my e-mail.

I like watching Miami Ink, in a can't take my eyes off the train wreck kind of way. I admire the talent and artistry, but can't ever imagine getting one for myself.

Wait...I think I have your e-mail address, Hyp. Do I? I don't know... Dammit, I'm getting old. I don't know who I know anymore!

I have it, FG, if you need it. And OF COURSE I want pics!
Actually, I'm thinking of having another one next week. I know, I know. MORE? But yes. Yes indeed. A turtle of some sorts. A reminder to slow down.

Have a good time under the needle. I rather like it, but don't take my word for it.
I am still thinking about what I want next. But I have to be better before I can.

I think I have 4 email addresses for you, Hyp. Have you retired any of them?

Mornin All
Cold and grey I think, didn't really notice the dawn. Even having been at sea for many years, some think I still am, never had any yearning for a tatoo. Not popular in the officer class, what.

[p] no piercings, no tattoos, just plain and unadorned me. I guess it's a case of finding the right design if you're going to go for a tattoo and working out where to place it.

I once thought I had the perfect idea for a tattoo ... the names of my missus and daughter, somehow artistically linked. That missus is now on her 3rd marriage. Elsewise, I just have the 'artwork' of scars of assorted gashes, burns, punctures and slices that life has awarded me so far.
I'm sure that you will be very pleased with your own creation, Hyp.

* also plain and unadorned, but for one wee hole in each lug

>>the names of my missus and daughter
The only safe names are those of your children, that's what is in mine.

I beg to differ, GDZ. I would add that your parents' names are also safe. Thus, the only safe names are those you either came from or contributed to, genetically speaking (of course, adopted children are included in that, but you know what I mean).
I'm actually thinking of getting a "Mom" tat, but given that she loves dogs, I'm trying to figure that one out...

I stand corrected MR and should have thought of one of MArv's tats before posting.

I should be more careful with the shift key.

No piercings, no tattoos,
No make-up, no fancy shoes...
I'm Plain.
Not being judgmental, mark you. Those things just don't match who I am any more, is all.
There's a sequence in the latest Attenborough series where some elephants stroll up to a water hole where lions are drinking. The cameras closes in on a line of lions lapping up water, turning their heads and eyes slightly to look at the arriving elephants as they continue to drink.
Back in my make-up and fancy shoe-wearing days, I could walk into a bar and make that happen.
I honestly don't know whether I was happier then or now. I think I have fewer personal concerns now, in what I think of as my Invisible Period. People talk to me differently. I think the young men are more honest, but that could be true accross the board and not with older women.
I do like the gray streak that's coming in at my temple, though. So I must still be vain.

I've known at least one person who had his own name tattooed on his forearm. Course, he was into not-oregano and apparently before I met him was into a whole mess of other not-herbs and spices, so perhaps he wanted to be sure who he was when he woke up in a strange place?

Wondering if your saying you are now the size of a hefalump..
As for People talk to you differently, could be we listen differently as we get older, not searching for an opening/double meaning to what's said, grey streak, think mines the opposite got a brown streak in the grey.
No tattoos or piercings, but a nice assortment of collected scars over the years, though even they are fast fading....
